I LOVE Metalheadz - but I always go to the Groverider, Doc Scott, Goldie, Kemistry and Storm, Randall's mixes. this is the first time I'm listening to the Loxy.

Loxy's quote about Blue Note: "It turned into a place to break tunes. All the early Prototype, early Virus, Good Looking. Everything you wanted to hear from that deeper, more experimental side of things you heard it there first."

Special shouts to Rohan and the entire Bassbin family. Putting out two records on Bassbin in the early 2000's with my dear friend Mike still ranks near the top of my proudest moments. I still carry so much love for that era and this sound, and I'm proud to share this mix as a tribute and thank you letter to all of the producers and labels who made it so amazing.

Amazingly it's been 8 years since vol 4! Since then not only have I filled in a few more gaps in my Dillinja collection, a bunch of his golden unreleased tracks from the 90s have since been released on Deep Jungle, Dom & Roland Productions and V Recordings.

So it felt like the right time for another installment - the longest yet at 2 hours (there was a lot to cram in!).

The sheer volume of work he put out in the 90s is staggering - there's still a few records I'm yet to collect and I've been at it for years. And imagine you're that good that your unreleased stuff from the 25 years ago still sounds as good, if not better than anything produced today? Legend.
