Centurio Senex is the DJ/musical project of Gustavo Alfaro, based in San José, Costa Rica. From an early age, he developed a strong passion for music, exploring its most extreme forms such as Metal, Punk, and Grindcore, while also delving into diverse sonic realms like Ambient, Drone, Experimental, Trip-Hop, Folk, Jazz, Funk, Blues, and many others.

Between 2018 and 2019, he became deeply involved with Psychedelic Trance, instantly captivated by its hypnotic sound. After attending several gatherings and immersing himself in the different sonic landscapes of the genre, he felt the calling to share and spread these vibrations, which led him to start his DJ project.

Centurio Senex stands out for a his selection of Forest and Darkpsy, focusing on channeling shifting tones and frequencies, layered with organic textures and twisted, driving basslines.
