❖ About Psynetyk ❖

Psynetyk is the aural embodiment of Tijuanense Paul Palomera, hailing from the Mexican lands of Baja California.

The project compels sonic dwellers to an immersive construct of dark chaotic scapes, desolate atmospheres and fiercely explosive articulations, powered by exuberant basslines and a hefty dose of experimentation at high speeds.

Drawn to psytrance music since his first rave in 2005 and with influences from Kindzadza, Furious, CPC, Paracense, Kasatka, Calyptratus, Yaminahua, Tegmentum, Cosmo, and Orestis, Paul started producing a year later and formed Psynetyk, as well as 2 side projects, War Dogs and Kitcio.

Psynetyk lists countless releases over the years with his debut album, The true inner workings, published in 2020 on Blackout Records, followed by Kitcio album the same year , and his EP, The Psynetyk module in 2021. He has performed all over Mexico and Guatemala.

Psynetyk joined DarkWeb Records mid-2021and due to release his album Justifying Existence on the label.

Synopsis

Within each one of us is the soul, pure, like a newborn child... throughout our lives we learn how to climb the stairs of life, fighting against the adversities of life and obstacles, however , many of us want to reach the state of fulfillment through meditation and good deeds, but there will always be something that corrupts us and this is where accepting the demons that we carry within us comes in, this album is made according I have felt and my empathy towards others for how things have been in the world and within us, focusing on my emotions surrounding the environment in a dark and ambient environment fighting my demons and my deceitful mind with frequencies that will reach you the depths of your mind.

You turn to your trip sitter, a trusted friend who appears now to be spewing fire so as to beat back a gaggle of ankle-biting, animatronic imps. The walls are breathing, you swear it. A live, single-take track on a Eurorack/Dawless setup at 145 BPM, combining tape-style recordings from the OP-1 Field with live sequenced and played elements. The chords and melody are created with a granular effect from a Mutable Instruments Beads, while the bassline comes from a Make Noise XPO routed through a low-pass gate. Titled "Home," this song is an expression of gratitude for life.
