Have you seen people cling to comfort only to lose it? Have you see people carefree and yet successful? "Do not worry about your life... you cannot make even one hair white or black, or make yourself live a day longer or grow an inch taller. If you cannot do any of these very little things by worrying, why bother worrying about the rest?" (Paraphrased.) "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners', expecting to be repaid in full. [Unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and teachers of the Law, you will certainly not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.] Love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.
