Since his debut self-titled EP in 2018, Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue has collaborated with some of Nu Disco’s biggest names, including Purple Disco Machine, Yuksek, Jacques Renault, and many more. Teaming up here with Brooklyn-based DJ, producer, and instrumentalist Toribio, the duo deliver a deeply funky vocal track for New York’s toucan sounds. Toribio has established his name in Brooklyn and around the globe as an in-demand DJ, most notably with his BDA (Bring Dat Ass) party, which has been bumping around New York City on a near-weekly basis. 'Living The Fantasy’ sees the duo draw for grooving bass, sparkling synths, and shuffling live drums for a distinctly grooving, disco-influenced track.

Silent Lies came out of a studio collaboration between Bad Business Club and 79.5. Bad Business Club’s producer Morgan Wiley (Midnight Magic, Adeline) introduced Alex Vans and Kate Mattison, the two lead songwriters of each group. Alex had some feel good disco lyrics and a Bill Evans-inspired jazzy chord progression sketched out, while Kate came in to add some of 79.5’s signature unison vocal choruses.

The result is a structure that’s difficult to pin down. With multiple different choruses, an instrumental bridge, 4 lead vocalists, and a Blondie-esque spoken-word section, the song is an intentional hot mess, but a hot mess that’s way more than the sum of its parts.

OK, so I changed my mind. This is where this track needed to go. Slowed it down added some texture, and it's something new, so it gets a new name. This is the Future Of Work.

George Clinton's nephew Sa'd 'The Hourchild' Ali (Sa'D Ali) and Chuck ‘Da Fonk’ Fishman met in the mid-’90s as touring members of George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic. With the addition of 8-time Grammy-nominated producer G Koop the trio became FSQ, a production team committed to creating original funk of supreme quality.

In the years to follow, Boston-based guitarist Chas Bronz, Philadelphia drummer One Era, and New York audio engineer Morgan Wiley joined FSQ. You’ll find the majority of their original songs and remixes on Soul Clap Records along with FSQ’s 2020 Reprise Tonight - the group’s debut LP. Presented as a tale of having one last party in the span of 24 hours,  features guest appearances from funk royalty, including George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Nona Hendryx, Fonda Rae, Denise King, and Dolette McDonald. In 2022, FSQ released a funked-up remix album for their debut record, aptly titled Reprise Reprise Tonight. This jam-packed album features 16 remix turns on the OG cuts by Tom Moulton, Ray Mang, Birdee, DJ Rocca, Lee Curtiss + more.

In 1998, songwriting & production duo Emily Haines & Jimmy Shaw formed what would become Metric and left Toronto for NYC in search of like-minded artists. In 2001/2002, they were joined by drummer Joules Scott Key & bassist Joshua Winstead, and found themselves at the center of the city’s burgeoning alt-rock scene alongside bands like LCD Soundsystem, The Strokes, TV On the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol and more. Unlike their peers, Metric resisted major label offers, releasing albums that pushed boundaries on their own terms.
