The Maiden of the Matrix is the first track Kita and Maude Vôs have written together in 7 years. Prior to their solo projects they produced music together for a number of years as a duo. Rewinding even further back, “Kita and I met on a dance floor over 10 years ago and were instantly soul bonded. She was my first real collaborator and mentored me through the beginning of my production journey. She continues to inspire me to find my voice, dig into my well of experience and to ground into what feels aligned with my soul purpose”. Kita has lived in Bali for the last 5 years, as a sound healer at the Temples of Chi. “Although life has pulled us sonically and physically in different directions, this song reflects our continued connection over the past decade”. The Maiden of the Matrix more specifically delves into unity through community especially in the chaos of the world. During these times we must continue to open our hearts, and show up meaningfully; this will be the remedy, the anchor and the expander.

Shimmering with metallic warmth, fluid melodies, and dark tension, Maude Vôs’ productions and live performances are marked by an infectious energy and multifaceted enthusiasm for creating and connecting. Channeling the organic flow of a studio wired with a panoply of hardware gear, the Los Angeles-based artist has cultivated a growing catalog of distinctive releases and remixes alongside their professional work as a sound designer and composer. As a DJ, their sparkling, psychedelic mixes are filled with lush atmospheres, whispered vocals, and synthesizer music of all genres. Vôs appears in the book Patch and Tweak with Korg (Bjooks, 2022), was recently named an artist to watch by DJ Mag, and has been featured by SPIN Magazine and Perfect Circuit. Dynamic and deeply felt, their creativity shines with an optimistic, expansive vision of mutual exchange and soul connection.

Following in the wake of their acclaimed debut V/A release ‘KILLS TWO BIRDS’, the UK label returns with another expertly curated selection of weighty percussive mutations, dubwise spectres, and low-end futurism. Gathering a rogues gallery of cutting-edge producers including Honeydrip, VVS1, Beaabea, Aaliyah Salem, Elpac, Kessler, Dom Carlo, Mulholland, Eyra & Yeye, the compilation locks in on Amity’s ethos of deep sonic exploration and fearless club experimentation.

From spectral dancehall shadows to heavy gravitational half-step, ‘RICOCHET’ operates on the fringes, where outsider sound system pressure and rhythmic dexterity collide. Each track strikes with intent, shifting, morphing, and rebounding off its surroundings in a percussive interplay of movement and tension. Dub sensibilities loom large, with ricocheting echoes and tactile sub-bass weaponry built for intimate spaces and cavernous halls alike. Yet, far from a scattershot affair, the compilation’s sequencing maintains a hypnotic flow, guiding listeners through surging rhythms and raw kinetic energy.

BLEID returns to All Centre with an EP of full-throttle club stormers on ACEN068. The Lisbon-based artist delivers their first EP of the year after a busy 2024 with releases on Discos Extendes, Surf and Eterna, bringing three high tempo, dancefloor-ready tracks.

TABEM launches straight into a tough, snare-driven groove. Propulsive drums, minute vocal chops and synth glitches swell into a percussive frenzy, before taking a left turn with a killer halftime switch-up.

Next up, SEI LÁ brings the heat with a relentless speed dembow rhythm, underlined by a heavy sub bass line and syncopated vocal chops. Siren synths build up the intensity and the track brings a bouncy juke-inspired twist at the halfway point.

TERROR does not let energy levels drop, with a heavy four to the flour groove and crashing snare drums. Syncopated percussion, crazed vocals and choppy synths swing wildly around the groove into a frenzy of dancefloor delirium.

GRITOS is available across all digital platforms from April 18th.

Mathilde Proy (@carnavaletmascarade), aka Oda Fiasco Bravo, studied electroacoustics at the Lyon and Pantin conservatoires. She is widely active on the experimental music scene where she regularly performs live, as a solo project (Oda Fiasco Bravo/Moth Trickery) or as a duo (Hannah Hajar).

For her first release, she grated us with 'binge on sugar at night', a beautiful track with electroacoustic and IDM influences, oscillating between incisive rhythmic discharges and suspended melancholy.
