Act One is the solo project of Jack Allsopp. Hailing from the UK, he studied music since the age of 5
and quickly it became his life’s passion. His first introduction was through the UK drum and bass
scene which he eagerly became involved with. He taught himself how to produce and soon got
releases on many labels and tracks played by some of the biggest DJs on the scene before he was 18.
In 2011 he discovered psytrance at the legendary Glade festival and never looked back. After
producing, gigging internationally and releasing psytrance for many years he released his debut full
length album on Digital Shaman records which gained support all over the globe. After his CD
dropped, and having spent six years working with Digital Shamans, he decided it was time to move
on. After a brief hiatus he is super happy and excited to be back ready to shake some speakers.

The project grew out of his need to convey his experience of ‘Liberation Through Hearing’ a phrase taken from the Tibetan book of the dead. After many years of studying soundology and experimenting with all kinds of electronic equipment and sound sources, the time is ripe to put all thoughts together and express them in music. From science f(r)iction to science facts, expect a mode of subversive psychedelia blended with a bit of poetry.

Nepeta Cataria is a plant that cats are attracted to it. The pleasant effect of it and its harmlessness renders it to an ideal tool to enrich the environment of this feline creatures. They seem to have visual and acoustic hallucinations, at all times with extreme pleasure. As the effect vanishes, cats start a cleaning session around it.
