About Mike Detay:

Mike Detay, alias Mike Detscher is a DJ and Producer from Essen, Germany.
Mike has always been inspired to make music.
When he was a child, Mike was used to sing play the guitar for his family and friends. Later on he started using his talent for theatre shows in schools and even created a band, which he was playing with on smaller Festivals around his hometown.
After discovering the love to electronic dance music, by listening to Artists like Nicky Romero and Martin Garrix, who still was a teenager when he got discovered, Mike was curious about how this type of music is made. 
He found out, that there are special computer programs (DAW's), that allow you to produce any type of music. 
Learning by doing, Mike got better and better in his production process and posted his first songs on soundcloud, which reached thousands of views. 

During the Amsterdam Dance Event(ADE) in 2016, Mike 
had the chance to get interviewed by the DJ/Producer and label boss Nicky Romero, who has questioned him, as an upcoming talent, about his production routine and his thoughts about todays music industry.

Besides Nicky Romero, Mike had the opportunity to talk to other inspiring artists like Martin Garrix (who was his idol, since he started making dance music), Hardwell, Laidback Luke and many more.
Amsterdam was the place, where Mike got deeper into the music industry, marketing wise. He has learned from managers and other artists he met, how to combine the music with social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. 
He is still in touch with A&R's and managers from labels like Armada Music and Protocol Recordings.
