Long-time Avenue Red resident selector Rubsilent from Istanbul, Turkey makes his 9th contribution to our imprint in as many years to keep the momentum going strongly for the BIG 200! This ~100-minute-long mix is textbook Rubsilent, delving into his deep vinyl collection to pull out a wide spectrum of the finest house & techno selections, spanning from the inception of the genres to the present day. Keep notes - all DJ's can learn many things from this seasoned pro of the underground.

"Between a day job work schedule and adapting myself to parenthood in mid-40's, life no longer allows me to spend as much time as I want on the decks at home. As the priorities are straightened I struggle with finding the inspiration and motivation to record a mix to tell a story these days and if the mix wouldn't tell a story I see no point of sharing it with people for being connected. After about 6 months of not recording a mix other than a few local gigs here and there, exchanging some messages with Alec on social media got me inspired to put a session together. Here you may hear that selection of old and new tracks mixed in one go on my home set up. Avenue Red Podcast #200.7 - Rubsilent

Fresh up on the docket this fine Wednesday morning is from the latest release on the supreme Qeone imprint. Helmed by Polygonia, as one of her many projects, she strives to release only quality and we are no strangers to supporting her endeavors. As part of the seventh release, she looks to Mexican producer Gerardo Torres aka MirrorLake and his club friendly Moa EP. Chock full to the gills with a swelling combination of dub and deep techno, the four tracker is another excellent addition to Qeone’s catalog.

Flora Imaginaria leads off the Moa ep, setting a tone for what is to come later. Breakish percussion joined by dubby chords gives a backdrop to a delightfully dancey affair. Images of hazey clubs and nights out abound as MirrorLake’s swelling melodies ebb and flow.

Flora Imaginaria and the remainder of the Moa EP will be released on March 20th.

PREMIERE: MirrorLake - Flora Imaginaria [Qeone]

For the latest episode of the Warning Mix Series we invited Yoav Goldman who delivered a lovely recording, bringing together different shades of house music. A balanced melange of stomping kicks, dreamy pads and uplifting rhythms and rave bits. Yoav is a resident DJ at Motivio Positivo, a Berlin and Tel Aviv based music collective.
