which is themed around the idea of a futuristic world inhabited by intelligent, evolved dolphins who are known as the Hydrofins and their cyborg assistants. In this future world, there is a coup at work between the upper echelons of Hydrofin society to displace the Aquacore, the current ruler.

Terrestrial Access Network is a US-based electro producer based out of San Diego, California who has been producing electro for roughly five years. The freshman album is an eleven track tapestry and reflection of the distinct sound of T.A.N., while clearly nodding to electro pioneer influences."

Their latest EP Source Transformation lands on Faux Poly, which is a London based record label from Warren Cummings & Joe Danvers aka Kassian. This EP showcases the artists inherent flair for treading the line between delicately uplifting melodies and rattling heavy bass. Each track conjures up a beautifully atmospheric future-acid world that is a dream to get lost in.

Astral Surge balances vocals and a looping acid line with smooth breaks and a beautiful composition.

A3 offers broken-beats, bleeps and bloops - ‘Overstatement (Space Edit)’ is a dizzying brain-tickler. On the flip, B1’s ‘Social Compost’, is a tripped out, warehouse wobbler. Rounding out the EP with a final acid cut, ‘Thalassa’ (B2), nods to early Detroit machine music with extraterrestrial influence. A tip for digi buyers, you’ll find ‘Sentiment Analysis’ (B3), stripped back yet pacey, frantic machine music. 

Enter softcoresoft, the DJ, producer and cultural organiser has been whipping dancers up into a rave frenzy on the floor, and tickling our buds for some time now. The Discwoman affiliate co founded Humidex records, and has already featured on Truants, Boiler Room, and recently took part in 2019 RBMA Bass Camp in Calgary. One of the leaders of the Montreal underground, the Music Director of Never Apart, champions gender representation in music whilst hosting monthly show, Ravelength on Montréal-based radio station, n10.as. Traversing through acid, techno, electro, breaks and trance in DJ sets and live shows, Otherworlds EP is a beautifully crafted release that demonstrates her discerning ear for all that’s transcendental.

London imprint Drifted Records bring the heat with their second solo output in the catalogue. DR002 - Spirals EP, written by Dublin born, Berlin based wiz ‘New Members’, displays a distinct voyage of the beloved 90s era with a modern innovation.

Side A showcases the heavy, rolling drum patterns, airy dub chords and cleverly placed hats that you wanna’ be hearing at 4am on a packed dance floor, with both ‘Spirals’ and ‘Mythos’.

Flipping the record gives us something else entirely. B1 offers a silky, screw-faced stomper ‘No Mind’, which features samples from the great Alan Watts. Followed by a timeless edition to round off this latest instalment, B2 gifts us a gorgeous and percussive Jungle number entitled ‘Secrets’.
