Here's 'Blush' - the second single and title track from Facta's debut LP, out on 2nd April. 

Recorded unusually quickly over a short stint in early 2020, the record is the product of a period of refreshed and unfussy creativity. It’s an innovative and distinctly contemporary album that moves a good few steps beyond the artist’s work to date - loosely rooted in UK dance music but taking added influence from ambient, modern classical, dreampop, Balearic, folk music and beyond. The result is a lush, ornate record populated by aqueous pads, bleeping arps, wandering melodies and sparse broken rhythms; acoustic instruments that play out alongside FM synths, all processed with a pristine UV sheen inherited from modern pop music.

Having played at a spicy selection of parties around Naarm over the last three years (in which he dropped one of the best sets of the night at Wiser's Dazed party earlier this year), DJ Beans Daniel has quickly built up a solid reputation for playing hard, fast and unrelenting genre-bending bliss. 

Their mixes will keep you guessing: be prepared to hear a bit of dubstep, DnB, techno and (of course) early 2000's RnB remixes!

Beggining as a passion project born out of the first wave of covid 19 lockdowns, Irene J. has kept a focus on his output between merging impulse with feeling, movement with reflection and groove with sentimentality. With releases on Over & Out, Dishevelled London and Warning Berlin, Irene's sound shows an affinity for UK electronic music styles, leaning towards visceral, moody breakbeat and jungle yet refusing to be pigeonholed into any specific genre. A part of upcoming Eora based events label @short notice, Irene has found a passion in hosting and creating for the electronic music sphere, and has no plans to slow down his nostalgic sonic explorations.

Jungist is a Hong Kong born, Eora based DJ, producer and promoter at the helm of  the widely adored experimental arts platform @decayau here in Eora. Boosting the local scene but also plugging international sounds, the mix series has become a much loved addition to the community and a place for discovery and experimentation.

Jungist sets are about as diverse as they come. Their selections are dark, gritty, genre-blending with plenty of bounce, inspired by sound system culture and underground genres including but not limited to dubstep, glitch, leftfield techno, hard drums, footwork, jungle and bass. 

'' This mix was put together during intense hotel quarantine in Hong Kong and includes the fruits of a deep dive into early 2000s underground bass labels including DMZ and Hyperdub. The long intro demands focus attention as it releases into hypnotic rhythm and groove. In my practice I’ve grown to appreciate context and contrast when it comes to selection, with every transition I aim to see the mix as a whole continuous piece with personality and mood. ''

Off the back of his recent ARIA nomination for Best Cover Art, Eben (aka @ekzander) continues to create a surrealistic atmosphere in his portrait series for phase 080-089. Focusing on his fascination of eyes and the human form, he explores abstraction of digital painting mediums and traditional techniques to create warped techno figures.

At times it’s great, energetic and filled with promise… at others it’s boring, depressing, stagnant. While I hold eternal love for this city, I can’t front like it’s good all the time. This is my attempt to encapsulate those sometimes conflicting feelings toward Te Whanganui-a-Tara"
