Lucio Monteiro biography 

Lucio Monteiro was born February 1st, in 1964 in Mozambique. At the age of merely 13 years he made his first steps dj'ing at private party's and small clubs. Ever since he has continued his ''dj thing'' with the objective of featuring quality sounds, constantly updating his work, refining his technical skills and offering musical diversity and quality.
At the end of the 80's (1989), he climaxed as resident dj of the legendary “Alcantara-Mar” club (Lisbon).
His international career started in 1990 with his first trip to Brazil, years later (1999) he decided to settle down, after having shut down his own club - called “Deep Club” - in Cascais (PT). At the end of his Club, he started the project “Lisboa Vice” together with dj Bruno Correia.
Between 1999 and 2001, they presented their work in some of the major clubs in Sao Paulo, Florianopolis, and Campo Grande (Brazil); such as: “D-Edge (Matriz), A Loca, The Bar, Lov.e, Jazzy, Sutra, Stereo, Cafe Cancun, U-Turn, BCBG, Manga Rosa, Base Diesel, Bantu, America, and THC, just to name a few. 
“Lisboa Vice” also performed in the university stadium of Sao Paulo (USP), along with Green Velvet, Mau Mau, Renato Lopes, and George ACTV, at the ''Gradiente Party'' at the year 2000.
In Portugal Lucio as also played in Lisbon’s clubs, such as Lux, Industria, Queen’s, Alcantara-Club, Op Art, and in further clubs throughout the country: Coconuts (Cascais), Frolic (Estoril), Bafureira Beach Club (Parede), Horta da Fonte (Cartaxo), Mare Alta (Porto), Kadoc (Algarve), Clube da Praia (Zambujeira do Mar), Imperio Romano (Marinha Grande), as well as in bars, like: Estado Liquido, Mexe Cafe, Fluid, Absolut Cafe, Arena Lounge (Casino Lisboa), among many others…
Lucio Monteiro also performs regularly on Funchal(Madeira Island) in clubs like “Marginal” and the “Cafe do Teatro” and he rocked the “Celeiro” club on the Azorean Island of Terceira.
When it comes to the universe of house music, he is very sweeping (just like house music itself is). 
His sets are consistent, with powerfull bass lines, without ever loosing the rhythm, including elements of all genres of house music. This could go from ambient lounge to tech house, passing the finest deep house, as well as the classic house sound, and a very unique style of jackin’ house, similar to Derrick Carter and Joey Youngman, with a groove, rhythm, and move (coming from the funk) that will definitely make you dance! 
His performance in tech house it's also really powerfull and consistent with ''fat flavors'' and strong groovie tunes !

In 2006: Second performance ’’Evil’’ Eddie at “Janas” (Sintra); a party hard to over trump!!! and at the “Sound Planet” (Montijo).
In 2007 Lucio is dedicating most of his time playing on several places at Lisbon's night scene and some nice beach party's, hewas also spinning again with ''Evil'' Eddie at two locations in Lisbon (Lei Seca Bar and Whispers)
2008: ''Carnaval'' Saturday @ Marginal (Madeira Island) Arena Lounge residence (Casino Lisboa) BBC (Lisbon) ADN (Setubal) Lotus (Cascais) Swell Club (Caparica) Alcantara-club (Lisbon) ''DOUBLE R''Afterhours @ bar do rio (Lisbon) ''DOUBLE R''Afterhours @ Alive Bar (Lisbon) CHRISTIANIA's Birthday Party @ Copenhagen (DK) with Jokke Ilsøe, Renata kleber (BR) Mikkelangelo and Niko Defrost (DK)
During the all summer Lucio was really closer to this project DOUBLE R, playing several times at venues like ''Bar do Rio'' and ''Alive Bar''.
In November he started his tour Brasil 2008, with full dates from November 8th until December 14th, spinning on all underground circuit of S.Paulo, in fantastic clubs like D-EDGE, SPKZ, VEGAS and more...in projects like OLD SCHOOL FRIENDS, PARADISE, CIO, BLACKOUT or SUB, TAPA NA PANTERA or SLAB.
And he was also in Manaus (Amazonas) playing at Cafe Cancun Club (photos and movies at myspace)

Back to Europe he gets back his residence at Arena Lounge (Casino Lisboa, Lisbon) this time with a radio show at Oxigenio 102.6 FM (Lisbon)in December 25th, January 16th and February 20th, from 19:00 to 20:00 (Lisbon's local time)
Lucio is also back to the DOUBLE R Afterhours project in venues like Bar do Rio or Alive Bar in Lisbon's downtown.

 Fresko is an entity which has appeared and disappeared a hundred times for long periods of undefined time, throwing back into war times. The sound might be placed above dark, aggressive backgrounds (scenarios) - although mostly in a not-so-proper way, given the clear conscience of the contrast between what's grotesque and what is deep. It contributes to the rave culture and sound by allowing several virgin connections between body and memory; systems which are already archetypes are meaningful to its progression, always attending to its own evident route for whatever 'exotic' may stand for - never the less, experimenting at all times, relying above all in its individual diverse languages and symbols. Currently based in Lisbon.
