Rizen is the son of Louis Sol and Mahina Alexander and the core inspiration behind our EP. His existence reflects our own and reminds us of how far we've come, and how much we want to lead a sustainable life. We believe that everything starts within, that without a strong foundation to build on we can't truly do our best to help ourselves and others.

Rizen EP is dedicated to Barry Solywoda (June 6, 1952 - January 9, 2015) in honor of his legacy and kind inspirational presence in our lives.

FRIDAY NIGHT

I recorded this 45 minute Mix on July 4th 2023, it features a bunch of track I love and I feel I mixed them in an interesting way that even surprised my self. It somehow tells a subconscious story about my mix of emotions over the past month. This mix was all recorded on the fly as I didn't have anything planned, I just hit recored and whatever came out came out so here it is. Words seem entirely inadequate to describe the depth of love and gratitude I feel for this community and for all the amazing individuals within it. I am absolutely astonished by the love, support, and acceptance that you all have shown to myself and Lauren, by the connections that seem to continually deepen, and by the new ones that seem to continually arise. It is quite difficult for me to believe that two years ago we had never met each other, and yet you welcomed Lauren and I into your midst, and now I feel we may never wish to leave. I love you all so much. Thank you for all that you do, and for being who you are. The world is more beautiful for your presence.

How do we deal with the fear of the future, the ever-shifting unknown unknowns, the countless wars and atrocities, the very real existential threats to the planet, the depths of despair, the raging fires inside, and the seemingly futile fight to save ourselves from ourselves?  ... 

WE DANCE - We dance fucking harder than our minds think our body is capable of. To dance is to pray, to fully surrender E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G through the holy water pouring from our pores onto the wooden floors. It's the only way I know. And it's an ancient technology that has been around for as long as humanity. 

This dance wave is meant to be a container to allow the frequencies of grief, anger, rage, fear, guilt, sadness and whatever other full-spectrum flavor of life and death wants to come through. Look at it. Be with it. Feel it. Heal it.
