We are stoked to welcome one of our all-time favorites to the label - the almighty Stunna! Through his legendary Green Room radio show, this hard-working soldier from Chicago has championed countless unsung heroes, and spread the good drum & bass vibes for over 15 years. 

You may not realize that he is also a very talented producer! Inspired by his time at Sun & Bass in Sardinia, Stunna blessed us with a pair of solid jungle tracks that really capture the essence of the music, marking our first two-track release and the beginning of another beautiful autumn season.

The Equinox EP was born out of goodwill and the desire to share, courtesy of www.soundcloud.com/rainforest, who crafted these songs at various points over the past few years. After we found them and fell in love, he graciously agreed to offer them as a free download for the first Mettāsonic release. Hailing from Tokyo, @maidable started his musical journey in high school as a drummer. Soon after he fell in love with the sounds of the UK underground and started making beats incessantly. Whether producing jungle, halftime, or footwork, his music is marked by organic breakbeats, prominent synths, and evolving melodies. This jungle soldier has released on Rubik Records, Living, AlphaVersion, Subdued...and now helps to further define the sound of South China’s Mettāsonic imprint. 

This release is also a tribute to Good Looking Records - in particular the Earth album, which was our introduction to drum & bass.
