We are stoked to welcome one of our all-time favorites to the label - the almighty Stunna! Through his legendary Green Room radio show, this hard-working soldier from Chicago has championed countless unsung heroes, and spread the good drum & bass vibes for over 15 years. 

You may not realize that he is also a very talented producer! Inspired by his time at Sun & Bass in Sardinia, Stunna blessed us with a pair of solid jungle tracks that really capture the essence of the music, marking our first two-track release and the beginning of another beautiful autumn season.

Offworld Recordings presents four brand new takes on Airstrike and Blaks phenomenal tune Altitude each with a distinct flavor and feel. 
Altitude get the treatment here with a blinding remix from Silence Groove.  Starting out with seductively sliced drum edits combined with the soaring vocal from Blak, following up with a rumbling bassline and driving drums that culminate to create a moody masterpiece. 
JayBee takes the original sounds and creates a killer track with a bouncing bassline and atmospheric pads throughout. LM1 comes in next with a beauty of a mix that is highlighted by arpeggios and strings with occasional bursts of old school breakbeats and dark piano vibes.  Lyndon Jarr adds some techy flair to a remix that runs from the very start and showcases subtle keys beneath a deep bass and these extraordinary vocals.

Metalheadz kicks off a very exciting 2014 with a new team of producers for the label. 

Firstly introducing Mako and DLR who are already starting work on their forthcoming combined Metalheadz album project, alongside we have the fledgling talents of Villem and the elder statesmen of the scene Ant TC1 who in his own right has had a hand in a fair share of memorable releases and himself heads up Dispatch Recordings and Metalheadz.

META015 is project that shows a great depth in the talents of the foursome, it’s a beauty and the beast affair, fantastically executed in the great tradition of Metalheadz.
Kicking off with ‘Hungry For Atmosphere’ this stepper is a perfect set opener, heartfelt strings and keys give way to contorted mids and FXs, whilst the familiar vocal is processed into something altogether more sinister. The track clocks at just over 7 minutes and this says everything of the tracks ambitions, not pandering to anything but its own journey.
Next to step into the ring is ‘A Certain Flavour’ the opposite but yet perfectly paired track to go with the A side. Beginning with a very cinematic introduction it unravels into a growling bass led stepper with staccato drums before switching into a two-step drum work out, tailor made for dancefloors and DJs alike.

A release that we are very happy to kick 2014 off with, welcome to the new breed!

“Let’s take a walk out over the city lights …” perfectly captures the sentiment of Talix’s second EP on onesevenfour, ‘Midnight Lights’.

Ascending immediately into the beauty of this EP, the title track ‘Midnight Lights’ weaves a perfect deep and insightful Drum & Bass track together. Be whisked away into the serene city landscape imagery this masterpiece invokes.

‘Say It’, the second track on the EP, with its wide percussion, organic pads, deep bass, and echoes of vocal silk, speaks volumes to the sonic craftsmanship Talix has developed. A perfect synergy of subtleties and up-front elements leads deep into a welcomed half-time switch on the second drop.

Closing out the EP, and as what could only be considered a potential cure for Aphantasia (the inability to create mental imagery), ‘Aphantasia’ emanates pure emotion and inspiration. Playful vocals, weighty bass plucks, mystical strummed guitars, and precision rhythmic movement combine to deliver the EPs final statement - Talix is here to stay.
