inti figgis-vizueta (b.1993) is a composer and educator who works to reconcile historical aesthetics and experimental practices with trans & Indigenous futures. Described as an “ever-intriguing, rising new music star” (LA Times), whose “arresting…sparse, beautiful” (NPR Classical) work brings “a sense of true dramatic stakes” (New York Times), inti has been commissioned and performed by leading artists including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Oregon Symphony, Dallas Symphony, American Composers Orchestra, New World Symphony, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Reflektor, Aspen Music Festival, Ojai Music Festival, Spoleto Music Festival, Kennedy Center’s Sounds of US Festival, International Contemporary Ensemble, Alarm Will Sound, Wild Up, Roomful of Teeth, Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect, Kronos Quartet, Attacca Quartet, JACK Quartet, Music from Copland House, Crash Ensemble, pianist Conor Hanick, violinist Jennifer Koh, and cellists Andrew Yee and Jay Campbell, among many others. inti’s work has been featured at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Walt Disney Hall Concert Hall, Symphony Center, REDCAT, National Concert Hall (IE), Southbank Centre (UK), Philharmonie de Paris (FR), Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ (NL), and Konzerthaus Berlin (DE).

Upcoming projects include Rose Bond's 1968 for the 2025 Venice Biennale, a new work for Trickster Orchestra's 2026 TransTraditionale FESTIVAL, the NYC premiere of opera mad scramble for crumbs in Lincoln Center's Rubenstein Atrium, and new works for flutist Claire Chase, organist James McVinnie, and cellist Andrew Yee with Roomful of Teeth. inti is the recipient of the Lotos Foundation Prize, ASCAP Foundation Fred Ho Award, National Sawdust Hildegard Award, Café Royal Foundation Music Grant and residency fellowships from Dumbarton Oaks, Civitella Ranieri, Juilliard Summer Percussion, and Music at Copland House.

inti has held faculty positions with Luna Composition Lab (21-24’), Wildflower Composers (20-22’), Fresh Inc Festival (22’), and Atlanticx Composition (21’). She regularly lectures on her music with recent visits to Harvard University, The Juilliard School, Peabody Conservatory, and CalArts, among many others. inti has curated programs for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Green Umbrella series, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra Current Series, CalArts' REDCAT, Wild Up’s Darkness Sounding, and American Composers Orchestra SONiC Festival. She was the 2024 Robert M. Trotter Plenary Keynote Lecturer for the College Music Society 67th National Conference.

inti studied with Marcos Balter, Felipe Lara, Donnacha Dennehy, and George Lewis. Her mentors include ﻿Tania León﻿, Nico Muhly, Angélica Negrón, Derek Bermel, and Andrew Norman, among many others. inti honors her Quichua bisabuela who was the only woman butcher on the plaza central and used to fight men with a machete.

Nebal is a scholar, poet, and composer whose works focus on the profundity of pitch, semiotics, and esotericism to create artworks that transcend the physical and foster cosmic connection towards the realization of radical unity.
 
Their most innovative work creates a process that engrains western style counterpoint in Arabic Music whilst maintaining the latter’s distinct microtonality. Synchronizing both principles of counterpoint through negotiating elements of Spectralism, Pythagorean tuning & philosophy, western concepts of harmony and eastern concepts of Sayr (tr. Flow). This work has led to new possibilities in Sufi numerological ritual, and further opportunities for experimentalism in both occidental and oriental musics.
 
Beyond their research into Islamic esoteric philosophy and its manifestations within the field of Arabic music, the composer is also equally if not more adept at conventional Western music as well. Nebal has written in a wide variety of genres ranging between tonal, minimalist, abstract, graphic, and electronic within the realm of Western music as well, and ultimately finds their home at the intersection of these distinct styles. Their 3rd Piano Sonata, Bedtime Stories for the Inner Child showcases the composer’s passion for long-form music, dexterity of style, and rigid control of form. Similarly, al-Wahdat al-Wujud showcases the composer’s creativity in the realm of graphic notation, electronic manipulation, and religious exploration outside the context of Islam. 
 
The composer’s current projects include Kitab al-Tabaqat (tr. The Book of Layers), a treatise on counterpoint in Arabic music that takes inspiration from Rameau’s Treatise on Harmony, Fux’s Gradus Ad Parnassum along with al-Farabi’s Kitab al-Musika Kebir (tr. The Great Book of Music) and the philosophies of various Sufi schools and scholars including Ibn Arabi and al-Bumi. Out of principle, the composer does not share any pronouns, images of themself, nor educational background as to insist that the music and music only be concerned when engaging with the composer in a professional capacity.

Award-winning composer, native of North Texas, Mari Esabel Valverde, whose music has been reviewed as “heart-stopping” (BBC Music Magazine) and “of shimmering beauty” (The WholeNote), has composed art songs, chamber music, and works for chorus, orchestra, and wind ensemble. Recent projects include commissions for the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses, Los Angeles Master Chorale, and the University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club. Aspiring to create music that emboldens people to unlearn shame, her works center the voices of historically marginalized authors and address questions of gender, sexuality, social justice, and love of the natural world. Currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she holds degrees from St. Olaf College, the European American Musical Alliance in Paris, France, and San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Drew Swatosh is a composer originally hailing from Vancouver, Washington. Coming from a background in arts integrated education, he strives to create connections within his music, whether through the inclusion of programmatic/extra musical elements; collaborating with other composers, musicians, and artists; and/or the combination of different musical styles and compositional techniques. His compositions range from chamber works, vocal and choral pieces, and more recently, arrangements of Brazilian music.

As a composer, Drew, has studied with Elizabeth Ackerman, Dave Averre, William Whitley, and Kevin Walczyk. In 2015, he graduated with a bachelor of music in contemporary music from Western Oregon University. Drew also has had the opportunity to participate in many different master classes including Halcyon Trio Oregon, Ascendo3, Dave Metzger, Chen Yi, and Gabriel Prokofiev. Beyond master classes. Drew has had the opportunity to sit in and listen to a rehearsal of the Oregon Symphony, and participate in the Oregon Bach Festival Composers Symposium and the Fear No Music Young Composers Project. For his SATB setting of the Poem In Flanders Fields by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, Drew won 1st place in the Washington State Music Teacher’s Association Young Composers Project for the 11th grade division.
