It began on one cold October morning in 2013. Suddenly, and irreversibly, my consciousness was cracked open as the seismic sound waves of an Andrew Weatherall set breached my ear canals; my body irrepressibly jerking to the beat, my face beaming like the proverbial child, lost in one almighty sweet shop.. But this was no ordinary dance beat, this was slow….real slow.

Cutting his teeth hosting and playing parties around Leeds in the mid-naughties, Mezur has been djing for the best part of two decades. Within which time he has shared booths with djs from celebrated Leeds nights Technique, Asylum and Dave Beer's legendary Back to Basics.

He left his beloved Yorkshire in 2021 where, in the shadows of the dusty chimneys of industrial Manchester, he has found a new home for the stripped back, left of centre, acid scorched, disco come techno his selecting is known for.
