Electronic group Pale Blue returns to Damian Lazarus' label Crosstown Rebels. Dive stems from the pair's upcoming album on the imprint, which will drop next year. Remixes from Fort Romeau and Rebolledo feature on the EP, adding another layer to the shoegaze-tinged tune. 

Mike Simonetti talks about the theme of the track. "'Dive' is a breakup song. It's about when the person you are living with becomes a stranger," he says. "Musically, 'Dive' is an experiment in polyrhythms and textures; the music has a lot of movement, yet Elizabeth's vocals are stoic throughout. The music represents the chaos of the relationship, and her voice is the calm realization of self." The title track opens with Elizabeth's soft vocals and a dreamy synthline, evoking a hazy but potent soundscape. On Fort Romeau's remix, the Oxfordshire native offers a Tranceadelic Mix of the track, combining tribal-flecked percussion with an understated bassline, allowing Elizabeth's lyrics to dominate the atmosphere. Rebolledo pens an acid melody and transposes Elizabeth's vocals to an alien-like pitch—perfect for a tripped-out listen. 

Jersey-born Mike Simonetti is one half of the musical group Pale Blue and the founder of labels Troubleman, Italians Do It Better and 2MR. With over two decades of experience working as a producer and DJ, Mike has released disparate sounds on Crosstown Rebels, Correspondent and several more, building the reputation of a versatile artist who avoids the limelight and instead focuses on making dance music with depth. In 2020, Pale Blue’s track I Walk Alone With Acid landed in Pitchfork’s The 30 Best Electronic Music Releases of 2020 and The 100 Best Songs of 2020. US-born Elizabeth Wight is a vocalist and the other half of Pale Blue. No matter the project she's working on, her vocals add different layers to electronic music, creating a signature mood that only she knows how. I Walk Alone With Acid remains one of the most striking records in her evolving discography. UK-born Fort Romeau merges the tones of house, kraut, ambient, disco, and techno across his work, releasing on Permanent Vacation, Mesh and more. His album Beings of Light dropped on Ghostly International earlier this year, affirming his status as an innovative artist. Mexican DJ and producer Rebolledo is one-half of the electronic duo Pachanga Boys, but as a solo artist, his sound bounces between sun-kissed house and strutting disco. Tracks on Correspondent and Hippie Dance highlight his boundless approach as a producer.

Rising from the berliner underground, Longhair have earned with the years a notorious reputation on the scene supported by some of our favourite imprints. Amsterdam's Italo-tastemakers "Bordello a Parigi", "Permanent Vacation" and Paramida's "Love on the Rocks" have found a place for the trance-spacey sound of the berliner based duo.

"Axis Mundi" is a space oddity that rises from our living room all the way to the solar system, Earth, Saturn and Pluto until the end of the Galaxy, no borders, the limit is set by yourself. Hammering and corrosive basslines, full of small little details and shining hidden stars in form of brilliant melodies that will make an exciting journey thru the Milky way.

Longhair show here their great versatility blending different subgenres that vary from Indie dance, leftfield house, Nu-Disco and everything in between and adding their particular cosmic touch and some trancy elements. A record that will work great either at the club wearing our favourite dancing shoes or chilling at home at our sofa.

Ma Spaventi is a wonderfully versatile artist. Over his decade-long career, the Italian musician has turned his capable hand to everything from ambient to techno. Once again, he is expanding his sound palette and challenging expectations with Vicino Lontano.

Across eight tracks, an array of ideas and influences are explored with additional guitar work coming care of Odeon’s Michele Righini. The reflective hues of “Solitario” give way to the warming strings and peaceful brightness of “Crepuscolo.” Written and produced in Amsterdam between 2017 and 2019, beautiful memories of the past are the source of inspiration. Radiating Summer sunshine bathes “Bring Me Back” in a comforting glow, while “Velvet Lights” teases rhythm sections with thick bass lines and shimmering synth work. Moments of introspection arrive in the elegant gliding forms of “Bomber” and “Intermezzo.” The rumbling “End Line” finds harmony amongst a spread of styles, cascading chords and rich textures, all combining beautifully. A moon rise closes, the grand curtain falls on “Bidderosa”,  calling time of this stunning collection.

Astonishingly, almost eight years have now passed since Simon Peter made his debut on Claremont 56 with the fantastically Balearic 'Arc of Lark'. He's not released much since, so this EP on Forest Jams is a welcome return to action. Title track 'Every Cloud' is deliciously warming and woozy, with twinkling lead lines, drowsy chords and softly strummed acoustic guitars riding above shuffling beats and a deep, smooth bassline. His love of acoustic instrumentation is further explored on the blissful 'You Don't Send Slow Waves Anymore'. Turn to the B-side for two fine remixes: a steel pan and Spanish guitar-sporting re-frame of 'Every Cloud' by Japanese outfit Coastlines, and a gorgeous, sunrise-ready, Balearic nu-disco re-imagining of 'You Don't Send Slow Waves Anymore' courtesy of Shu Suzuki.

'Discos Sentimiento‘s new EP ‚La Fragua‘ by Mexican DJ and producer Rodman reflects a refinement of their aesthetics in continuum with their previous releases – emotional electronic music from a paradisiac land.

The releases features 4 original tracks of percussive house with broken beats, lazer be- ams, intricate pads and energising rhythms; polyrhythmic patterns that reference dub and house at its finest with an intricate load of emotional synths and bubbly sounds- capes.

'La Fragua EP' emanates a woozy aura throughout its originals. On the remix bid we have 4 re-interpretations: a heavy yet emotional and ravey remix by Nico. A retro-celestial house remix by Sunday Sunday‘s resident dj, Soos. A perfectly chopped up broken beat cut by Wavawav‘s label head Ranma Entero, and a sentimentally futuristic take on 'Fuego Nuevo' by FKA Lil Tantrum.

Emerging artist from Lyon, Neskeh already stands out for his indie electronic, weird wave,post-punk and dark disco sets. 

Dissonant textures, tribal influences, provocative percussions - Neskeh loves to blend the beautiful with the strange.

Hailing from the hyperactive label Hard Fist, he exerts his influence between Paris and Lyon ( venues like Le Sucre, Rex Club, Station Gare des Mines, Cabaret Sauvage, HEAT). He’s also a presence at major events like Nuits Sonores, Hippodrome de Vincennes, Worldwide Festival and Chateau Perché.

In 2022, he ventured into music production and has already signed 5 releases with highly influential labels in the scene, including Ransome Note, Playground Records, Cracki Records, Kaputt.wav, and, of course, Hard Fist Records.

Mr. Ho’s 宀 residency gave us yet an another glorious nights last summer. A sort of a natural born league of his own, we had the wonderful Knopha, Xiamen’s DJ extraordinaire and an important club music voice of China. We’re not just giving out the “voice” title easily, it’s more that Knopha really speaks in tongues when it comes to all the styles, genres, fantasies and snippets of reality he incorporate in his sets so this naturally resonated with many.

Cutting his teeth hosting and playing parties around Leeds in the mid-naughties, Mezur has been djing for the best part of two decades. Within which time he has shared booths with djs from celebrated Leeds nights Technique, Asylum and Dave Beer's legendary Back to Basics.

He left his beloved Yorkshire in 2021 where, in the shadows of the dusty chimneys of industrial Manchester, he has found a new home for the stripped back, left of centre, acid scorched, disco come techno his selecting is known for.
