Splendor & Squalour number 3 see’s Brame & Hamo return to their rising imprint. Since the boy’s Ep “Lamaj’s Secrets” on Dirt Crew we have seen them do a string of remixes for labels such as Kolor Ltd, Heist & their very successful remix for Harry Wolfman and Loz Goddard’s “Uncle Buck” on Dirt Crew. All these releases have kept a steady momentum going for the Sligo boys in the house Scene. 

For this ep we have a full 3 tracker consisting of all original cuts. The EP kicks off with “Kebab Dreams” which takes us on a trip to the moon with greasy drums and saucy groove. Up next is the MPC workout “Cert City” paying homage to their hometown of Sligo. Closing the Ep we have “Retch Wretchedness” which takes a darker turn showing us the spookier side of Brame & Hamo while still keeping the jazzy touch. A peak time track for sure.

Keith Tenniswood returns with the second release under his dubwise Radioactive Man moniker (and ICYMI, here's his BR set last year in London: https://boilerroom.tv/recording/radioactive-man). Though Dub Vault Vol. II is set to drop this month, the three-tracker of dub, roots and reggae ammunition was recorded a decade ago. "Explosion" opens this second Radioactive Man vault aptly, with a crashing dancehall beat wading through wobbly sub-bass distortion. These are the sounds of Tenniswood's experiments with a Korg ESX1 sampler and sequencer – what was a new toy at the time of production. A credible venture back to the roots of roots music.

This is the first time I am releasing an album as a physical product at the same time as a digital version. The second disc of the double CD set contains 13 additional tracks straight off the vinyl acetates that I composed and created in order to make legit sounding samples for A Color Map of The Sun.

Like always, the album is available in its entirety as a free download via prettylightsmusic.com. For the first time however, I encourage you to purchase a copy of the album. There are two honest reasons for this. The main reason is that as an artist I have always reinvested any success I have directly back into the music, the show and the art that goes along with it. Secondly, this isn't just an album; it is a massive collection of music beyond what is on the CDs that I will continue to put out after the album release. There is an insightful documentary film on the making of this project to be released alongside the launch of the album, as well as a music video for every song. They are all beautiful and uniquely unusual pieces of art.

This "album" is a multi-medium map of my mind and my self. It is personal and honest and I put everything into it. I have stayed on the path of being a completely independent musician and with the help of every supporter and friend, we have transformed a simple idea into a movement, a cultural beacon of light.
