Here's my short Jazz Funk cover - or rather version (since I only kept the main chords and a few altered melodies) of the famous Bomberman Hero tune called "Milky", originally written as a sample-based bossa nova elevator-ish song. Every instruments were played "live" (as in "not sequenced") with the exception of drums which were mostly pre-recorded midis that I mixed, matched and played through a VST.
Didn't bother to finish the whole thing, though. Don't mind the mistakes, I didn't bother perfecting the tracks as well.

Everything in this song was made from Childish Gambino saying "Eh". Yes, even the bass drum and other percussion.

This mashup has taken the longest of all of my projects, totalling as nine hours work over five days. Most of that time was spent figuring out the melody, bass line and backing chords all by ear.

From experience, I can say that it helps to slow down the original song so you can pick up notes or a rhythm you miss at normal playback speed.
