In the space of just four years and little over 20 releases, Hamburg’s JEUDI Records has established itself as one of the foremost imprints in the world of melodic deep and tech house music. Born from the weekly club night of the same name taking place at their hometown venue Baalsaal (on the infamous Reeperbahn), it’s a label which focuses on quality over quantity, and has showcased music from the likes of Doctor Dru, Adana Twins, Turntablerocker, Sidney Charles and Monte in its short but acclaimed history. Pushing the new breed alongside a smattering of established dons, their riff-fuelled, synth-heavy sounds are encapsulated in their monthly Sceen.fm radio show - and now for the first time in a smoking hot compilation.

House Of Disco are back in full swing after a short hiatus, building on their pedigree that has brought the world music from the likes of Finnebassen, EJECA and Volta Cab over the past two years. With an increasingly busy global DJ schedule, their own parties in London and their own guest mix series bolstering their consistent online curation, they have amassed a sizable, fervent following.

House Of Jeudi makes for a seriously moreish listen, full to the brim of incredibly consistent and charismatic dancefloor delights - with each label picking six tracks. JEUDI’s selection takes us from the moody Reese basslines of Danito & Athina’s Harmony Baby, to Sean Roman’s contemplative I Find Myself and the spooky depths of Camelphat’s 360, while House Of Disco journey through the skippy funk of Roberto Rodriguez’s North Step, HNNY’s delicate Oma Doris, and the slinky disco of LeSale’s Fit Trucker.

Suited just as well to the home stereo as to the dancefloor, it’s an engrossing compilation that’s got plenty to offer for DJs and casual listeners alike, and looks set to cement both labels incredibly solid reps even further.

Following two seminal EPs for Lobster Theremin and a breakout debut for Nous, Route 8's 'Dry Thoughts EP' gets a wavy rework. Gone are the title track and B2 and in is 'Relaxed', a summer house anthem that slams from the high heavens. Eagle-eared LT fans will spot what this track was in it's previous guise, the rest can just sit back and be cuddled to death by warm synths.

Hunter/Game recently produced a new atmospheric House and Techno EP following releases via Innervisions, Rumors, Last Night on Earth, My Favourite Robot, Hot Creations and Diynamic. (...) “Just This is our platform to disseminate our musical passions.” It includes two original tracks titled “Tree Of Life” and “Genesis” as well as two remixes by Ripperton and Chymera. (...)

Für ihr Debütrelease auf ihrem eigenen Label haben @hunter-game ein Paket mit atmosphärischen House und Techno zusammengestellt. (...) “Das Imprint ist unsere eigene Plattform, auf der wir unsere musikalische Leidenschaft ausleben können”, so die beiden Produzenten. Die EP des italienischen Duos ist mit den beiden Original-Werken “Tree Of Life” und “Genesis” bespickt, gekrönt von zwei Remixen, die von @ripperton und Chymera produziert wurden.

Marcus Schössow is back on his own label Code Red and he joined forces with Jaz von D. Though a collaboration was in the making for a long time, both didn’t expect this tune would be the result of it. With Polygon they went kind of underground and surprised themselves and everyone who heard the first drafts. There was no doubt: This tune, with its surprising sound, had to be released on Code Red!

At Code Red we feel that to stay relevant and fresh, you need to step outside your comfort zone now and then. Polygon adds a new chapter to the already impressive catalogue of Schössow, Von D and the label. With its deep bassline, underground feel and slower tempo this tune is ready for the future of house music. No big drops, no huge synths, but a stripped down sexy house track. 

It took Marcus Schössow and Jaz von D only a day to wrap this tune up. They both felt the vibe and what this track needed while they have never done a track like Polygon. This tune made them hungry for more productions like this. Well, we can already say: That hunger will result in more sexy house tunes in the near future from both of them. We can’t wait, but first Polygon will hit the clubs!

Our chief Marcus Schössow doesn’t need an introduction after setting up Code Red, playing at Ultra and his massive releases Aware and CNTRL. Jaz von D was responsible for our highest charting release Prophecy and has some big things coming up the next few months. What better way is there to start 2016 with a proper house tune like Polygon? There is none!
