Happy new year and welcome to 2024! Bright Patterns welcomes Garçon from Switzerland for this new chapter of the show. He’s a resident at Elysia in Basel and co-runs Amenthia Recordings with Agonis. More often than not, we have the pleasure of hearing his deep cerebral explorations of rhythm, building sets and mixes with thoughtful intention for the dance floor. While I and many others enjoy these recordings again and again, he presents a softer side here that’s equally as brilliant. “I wanted to play music i'd like to listen to in the morning or stay in bed to” he added. o.utlier is an Irish electronic musician based in the UK who  creats soundscapes that combine electronic and acoustic sounds throughout his productions and performances to induce a deep state of alertness in listeners. Utilizing a diverse palette of sounds, ranging from sharp percussion and shimmering synths to harsh drones and field recordings, o.utlier's enigmatic soundscapes create a conscious journey that stimulates the brain, always with a dense atmosphere and calm delivery in any context.
o.utlier's recordings have been released on labels such as Appian Sounds [UK], Soul People Music [US], Naif [Germany], Verdant [UK], On Board Music [DE], SZE [UK], Northern Electronics [SE], and he co-runs Titrate Records [UK] to focus on experimental works. In September 2023, his debut album called 'Alaya' has released.

For the next edition of Monument Waves, we are honored to welcome ASIP, which is the DJ name of Ryan Griffin, founder of the legendary A Strangely Isolated Place label and the 9128.live radio station. 

Here ASIP presents a stunning mix featuring ambient, electronica, IDM, dub techno and more, where almost every track has been turned into a loop to bring to life the idea of "waves" as loops - continuous unfolding of repetitive patterns.

The above quote was kindly provided by Chris SSG for our sixth installment of our podcast series which features a set by him. A good friend of the collective, he needs no further introduction. This podcast is a recording of his set at the final of five parties we threw late last year to celebrate the 10 years anniversary of the Observatory. Chris’s set was the final one in a long series, closing what was a  wonderful sequence of events. Forward indeed.
