Café Del Mar Ambient Mix

With his first EP on Nu BohÃ¨me Recordings, Sound Nomaden releases four melodic deep, clubby and eclectic tracks that give us a new insight in the versatile work behind one of the leading DJ's and producers of the Electro Swing Phenomenon.

Sound Nomaden creates patchworks of synthesizer arpeggios, jazzy piano lines, sampled child instruments and toys, blues harp, strings, transformed vocals and deep club beats that blend into an atmospheric musical work. 

The four tracks all combine a highly emotional and melodic approach with an uptempo club vibe.

With the title track "Warm Lights" Sound Nomaden composed a dreamy soundscape of glassy bells, beautiful strings and reverse piano chords over a relaxed club beat. We're sure you'll feel the warm sunlight touch your skin.

"Voices" combines a catchy, yet slightly surrealistic vocal melody with an analog synth vibe and a powerful bassline while "You And Me" with its grooving beat and jazzy flavour evolves into a hidden love song.

Last but not least "The Love Blues" comes along with a funky vocal over a clubby beat and of course a dusty blues harp line.

Unser Podcast Nummer 83 kommt diese Woche von niemanden Geringerem als von der bezaubernden und umwerfenden Mira. 

Lange Jahre beeinflusste Mira die ost-deutsche Techno-Szene bevor sie vor ca. 10 Jahren ihre musikalische Heimat in der legendären BAR25 in Berlin, später Kater Holzig und jetzt Kater Blau fand. Während ihrer Zeit in Berlin hat sie ihren ureigenen Sound geformt, der an endlose Nächte voller Wunder und Gefühlstiefe erinnert.

In der Bar25 war es auch, wo sich Miras Wege zum ersten Mal mit Chris Schwarzwalder, NU und Jo Ke kreuzten; daraus entstanden sind nicht nur lebenslange Freundschaften sondern auch kreativer musikalischer Austausch, Kooperationen und ein nicht enden wollender Output an toller Musik.

Jeder, der selbst schon einmal in den Genuss ihrer endlosen Sets gekommen ist, versteht sofort warum ganz Berlin ihren speziellen Sound so sehr schätzt. Warm und  hypnotisierend geht er unter deine Haut und lässt dich mit einem Gefühl tiefer Verbundenheit zurück.

Wir freuen uns, euch heute mit unserer Nummer 18 und unserem zweiten und letzten Teil unseres Afterhour Sound Specials, ein Set von Arkadiusz. präsentieren zu können. Da er schon seit langem zu unseren absoluten musikalischen Lieblingen gehört, sind wir besonders stolz ihn in unserer Reihe begrüßen zu dürfen.

Interview:

Wie und wann bist du zur Elektronischen Musik gekommen?	

Musik hat mich egtl. schon immer begleitet. So richtig geklickt hat es aber erst 2010 während  meines Lebens in Frankfurt am Main. Dort lernte ich durch meine beste Freundin den ehemaligen Plattenladen ‚Pro Vinyl‘ kennen, den ich fortan regelmäßig frequentierte. Duszan der Besitzer war ein Experte durch und durch und gab mir einen Einblick in die unterschiedlichen Genre elektronischer Musik.  Ich habe damals zwar noch nicht wirklich aufgelegt, aber mir bereits schon einige Platten, wenn auch LP’s zugelegt. 
Mein damaliger Liebingsclub, wenn auch in Offenbach liegend, war natürlich das ‚Robert Johnson‘, welches ich sehr oft besuchte. Das lag vor allem daran, dass ich von meiner Wohnung aus her dorthin laufen konnte. 
Mit dem Auflegen habe ich aber erst 2012 in Würzburg angefangen, wo ich studierte. 

Welche Musikalischen Momente sind dir besonders in Erinnerung geblieben?

Ich denke eines der schönsten musikalischen Momente habe ich vor ca. 5 Jahren auf der Nation erlebt. Sonntag, 12 Uhr und Mano Le Tough. An das Set und die permanente Gänsehaut erinnere ich mich noch heute. Witzige Randnotiz:
Da Mano bekanntlich sehr viel Wert auf Basslines legt, mussten während des Sets ständig die Boxen von Hand nachjustiert werden. Das hektische Treiben des Soundpersonals war irgendwie schon witzig.

Welche Gigs sind dir besonders in Erinnerung geblieben?

Im Grunde gibt es mehrere Gigs an die ich mich gerne erinnere. 2014 im Kosmonaut während der Open Air Togo Feier, als man die Luft sprichwörtlich schneiden konnte oder aber auch das wundervoll organisierte Brüxsel Jardin Open Air in Brüssel. Der Ort, die Anlage, die Menschen, da hat wirklich alles gepasst. 

Gibt es Zukunftspläne?

Auf meiner Agenda steht die Fertigstellung meines Live-Sets an, welches sich mittlerweile wie eine Never-Ending-Story  anfühlt. Ich hoffe wirklich dass sich dies in Deutschland ändern wird.

Trotz worthaftem Rumgeunke und textlichter Verzarzung: @Doyeq meinen's ernst. Um so dankbarer sind wir für eine knappe Stunde exklusiver Liveverzählung aus eigener Feder, frisch und unverbraucht. Unromantisch gesagt: unreleased.

#049: Doyeq *live - Montagssorbet mit Laut & Luise

Sound Nomaden ist der Künstlername des in Münster lebenden DJ und Produzent Tobias Kroschel. Er war einer der ersten hierzulande, der durch seinen energetischen und melodischen Mix aus alten Swing- und Vintagesamples mit wummernden House und Tech-Beats die Dancefloors zum Kochen brachte. Für seine Veröffentlichung von dem Stück “The Trumpet” gab es großen Support aus der weltweiten Electro Swing Szene und mehr als 800.000 plays auf Youtube. Seid im September 2014 sein Debütalbum “Madame” veröffentlicht wurde tourte Sound Nomaden durch zahlreiche Clubs und Festivals Europas. Neben seinen unvergesslichen Auftritten auf dem Fusion Festival spielte er zahlreiche internationale Live-Gigs in u.a. Melbourne, Paris, London, Brüssel, Zürich, Kopenhagen, Berlin. Zusammen mit dem Gastmusiker MSP, der auf der Bühne durch seine ausdrucksstarken Live-Saxophon und EWI Improvisationen fasziniert, erschafft Sound Nomaden eine perfekte Symbiose zwischen Live und DJ-Set, sowie zwischen alt und neu.
