This song came to me eight years ago, but it wasn't until this year, when I went through some existential fears, that I could finish it. 

Fear & Love

I wrote this song for my daughters, wanting to cram all the wisdom I had gathered up to that point into a single song. 

It turns out, I have had to play this song to myself many times since then as a reminder that life has a tendency to slap me around. 

With some money and someone professional guiding me I think my music could make a difference in the world.- 

Lyrics:

Verse 1:
Life doesn’t come with a manual
So many things can go wrong
Failing is part of the experience
But rising from the fall can be hard
Winded by the impact of the fall
You're standing still the world is spinning out of control

Chorus:
When you are feeling stuck in your patterns
Lost in your thinking, done with existence

Try avoid getting knocked out
Then life will grab you by the feet
And slam you face first hard into concrete

It’s up to you how you learn

Turn a blind eye too the truth
Then life will give you on repeat
A thousand times until you truly see

The work will never be over
The work will never be complete
Even if you beat all the boss-levels
Don't jump the gun and revel
'Cause then you meet your family 
and suddenly you regress back to the age of three

Obstacles are there to teach you 
That there are no shortcuts to life
If you try to walk around them
You will get sidetracked and lost
Until there is no other way
You crumple carrying all their unresolved weight

The only thing that really matters
Is how you feel about yourself
Learn to trust your intuition
You already know what you need
Still, as you figure it all out
Life will do its best to make you doubt


Progression

If we let outside circumstances control our inner world, we are slaves to those circumstances.  It can be anything from what someone writes or says online to giving away agency to stupid shit that happens in the world. 

This song is a reaction to my leveling up how reactive I used to be.

Sticks & Stones

During an Ayahuasca ceremony in Vienna, Austria, I was asked if I could compose a  Hoʻoponopono. It took me a few years before something came to me.
