'More Than Human' is an E.P. of change. Standing in contrast to 'Signs of Life's reflective emotions, triggered by lockdown, 'More Than Human' begins the process of looking forward. They confront what is lying ahead. Lines of Flight explore what humans do to each other and why they do it; what we they do to other animals we share the world with; and what humans do to the planet. 

They saw loneliness, self-sabotage, isolation, paranoia and fear. They saw the natural world remaining here long after we are gone. They saw the pandemic fade away and things returning to 'normal'. They saw that things won't ever be the same but that so much hasn't changed. We are creatures of habit, we are creatures of comfort, we don't change unless we have to, or until it is too late.

More Than Human

Breaking The Line is the closing track from Line of Flight's 'More Than Human' EP'.
This song extents their "80's electro-pop for the 21st Century" (Tom Robinson, BBC6Music) sound to include drums and piano, to a haunting yet powerful and plaintive effect. 
The song focuses on the tensions between individual and global paranoia, loss, and destruction; asking, hoping in the chorus that it's not all not too late.
The EP will be available on vinyl in October 2023, with 6 remixes of their tracks on the B-side. Released via Fairsound-Press On Vinyl.

Dreamwave-Electro Pop inspired by landscape, memory, and other creatures. 

Lines of Flight are Matthew Henderson and Helen Whale. After forming remotely in lockdown in 2020 & writing songs on their phones, they drip-released their debut album as 10 singles in 2021, following this up with a physical release on vinyl in 2022 after building a fanbase via Twitter. They played their debut gig supporting Saccades (Nicholas Wood of the KVB’s solo project) in 2021, and have recently supported Pale Blue Eyes. 

In April 2023 they released ‘Becoming Bear’,  the lead single from their forthcoming EP ‘More Than Human’, which came out 5th May. The 5-track EP captures a new quality, with the duo recording in the same space for the first time since their lockdown project.
