   Krttyr is here because we say YES: to friendship, to creativity, to the wild world, to love and to love of music- Krttyr is a calling. It is in the chorus of the first song we ever wrote, "I cannot stop, I cannot stop- I believe in everyone," and it is why we work everyday to bring our band out into the world. We have spent our lives entangled in an encompassing relationship with music; two students of a craft, honing our skills to write/perform/produce/mix our songs independently. We take pride in picking up new instruments, implementing different recording techniques, and chasing wily rhythms and changes. Erich studied poetry at Cal in the name of better lyrics; Justin has been releasing forward-looking music (Roommate, Babylon System) for more than a decade and has toured the world over. 
   We feel like Krttyr is the real thing- there is no better use for breath than to sing, no better use for limbs than to beat out a rhythm- we are doing what comes naturally. Our aim is for our songs to reach a wide audience, for our musicianship to spread joy, and for listeners around the globe to say YES to Krttyr! Let's ride this wave together and see where it goes...
