Spontaneous tales woven across vast landscapes atop an Axolotl as the sun slowly made its way across the horizon. I think this set captures something I learnt about myself at the burn, that I take myself where ever I go. All of the parts. The eclectic tangle of ups and downs and all that comes in between. Grateful for this moment in time and grateful to be able to share it.

As the darkness moved towards the day and the stars and moon crossed the sky we ended the peak night of Relish; a festival like no other. Inside an enormous castle shaped tent known as the Boogie Down. With terraced cuddle puddles over looking the dance floor heating vents poking through the walls to ease the cold of the crisp southern night and a light show that set the mood on fire. This was a special one for me for many reasons, amongst them the week spent on the lushest of land surrounded by uplifting community immersed in an event that prioritised every need and comfort you could have or want at every turn.
Truly a wondrous collaboration. Im still blinking to check it was all real. Great news, it was. Fantastic!

The original recording didn't end up recording, classic. So this is re recorded for all those who asked me for it.

Thank you to each and every one of the 500 collaborators who contributed to this experience.

I will never forget the feeling of walking over to the Shipwrecked Stage as the sun simmered down in the distance and the lights flickered on all around, seeing the sea of people swarming towards the space. A space that I had the honour of pouring my heart and soul into creating in the lead up to the event. It was like seeing the art of it in its entirety spring to life in a way that set something within me on fire. I sat behind the booth overlooking it on a terrace taking it all in, so tired, so nervous yet so inspired. What would I play? I decided to do what I love to do most and start with something that mirrored the sensations I was experiencing, in this instance giving myself a sparkly and soft moment to take a breath, feel the anticipation and settle in to enjoy the ride of what ever was to come. And what came was so much FUN. 

Thank you to all who approached me afterwards to share tales of their experiences and to all that were there moving and grooving and to everyone that contributed to this set happening in all shapes and forms. Thank you to Sanoi for creating the intro with me. To the musicians who created the tracks played, THANK YOU.

We have been scouting for the perfect Sunday morning sets for quite a while already and while "Late Night Jockel Disko" & "Mattmosphere" have been steady suppliers of them for us, we also developed the idea of asking befriended artists to record one-hour of music, to which they like to stay in bed with a loved one.

It's an intimate ask, but most of them said yes.

Step into the world of Mia Kober, a New Zealand-based music curator renowned for her ability to craft silky sounds, soulful basslines, and curate immersive experiences. Mia stands as an integral pillar of the vibrant music community in NZ, leaving her mark on festivals like Shipwrecked, Splore, Ponderosa, Rhythm & Alps and many more.

Her mission to encourage immersive experience flows beyond performance into her work as a driving force in the festival and event community. She is also a founding member of Silk Collective, a mentorship platform for aspiring DJ’s and upcoming talent.

Not defined by genre but with an intuitive feel for what the audience needs, peak time or ambient Mia’s sets are all about the feeling. Mia’s music is an eclectic display of deep grooves soaking in soul, sonic atmospheres, slinging chunky selections, and emotive electronica, all woven with a sprinkling of surprises.

Journeys are never linear. Mia follows many bends in the road, forming tantalising tales to move you and groove to. Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride.
