The song is quite interesting/captivating.

I like it. It sounds like IDM i listen to, and particularly Plaid and John Tejada.

I find the disjointed section a bit distracting, lots of really nice sounds in there.

My latest entry for KVR's One Synth Challenge, round 155.

All sounds made using AAS's Chromaphone synthesiser. It's a physical modelling synth, so it's much easier to create these plucky percussive sounds than your more common subtractive or wavetable based synths.
