After honing their trade in Southampton, drum & bass duo Gerra & Stone have made several successful forays into the wider world over the past couple of years. Regular players at Dispatch and Proximity, the pair have been turning heads in the RAM camp during 2015, dropping a killer jungle VIP of 'L.I.E.S.' via the label's recent RAMsterdam compilation. Now returning for their second effort for sister label, Program, Gerra & Stone have set thrusters to full once again!

A-side 'Dnt U' is as techy as they come, all retching, mutant synths and hard-nosed drumwork. Yet the outfit's love for the old school still features. Sly, junglistic elements peep through the gaps, giving the track extra depth and character.

A stand-out track on Above &amp; Beyond's "Anjunabeats Volume 9", the Club Edit of "In And Out Of Phase" combines a blissful bubbling groove, stirring string sections and Leva's angelic, otherworldly vocals to impressive effect.

Available for the first time, the Original Mix adds a string-laden breakbeat and bass section and an even more epic arrangement.

On the remixes, the currently unstoppable Norin &amp; Rad follow their recent debut Anjunabeats single "Bloom" with an uplifting, riff based big room rework - already a firm fixture in Above &amp; Beyond's sets.

Marcos Rendeiro aka ImpeX is hailing from Ponta Delgada, a city on the portuguese island São
Miguel.
He already had the pleasure to show up his sound with his "Serious Business EP" on Raving Panda
Records, but we decided to give him also a slot on our newcomer series Fresh Blood to help him
reaching a wider audience.
Impex started his journey in the DnB world around 2008/09, after attending to his first Therapy
Sessions. As a bass player in metal/hardcore bands, he felt instantly attracted to the heavyer side of
this scene. Constantly learning from the portuguese producers that he grew up with, he started
producing and transposing his knowledge of rythmic sections into his music. For almost 10 years,
no releases were made, but now his music is getting noticed. With his tunes now being played in
Radio Shows and major stages we can expect lots of new releases from this portuguese producer.

Thus it is that their story may be told with one single word, that modern term FRENEMIES which is so often heard.

TOBAX summons the kindred spirits of the EATBRAIN horde with his FRENEMIES EP, which follows his 2019 EP “Seized Moment” EP and an appearance on the “Divergence II” compilation as the next part of a long collaborative history between himself and EATBRAIN. Next up on the Addictive Behaviour imprint is a continuation EP, celebrating the diverse production prowess of Wreckless & friends once again, this time enlisting support from Necrobia & Conscience. Following on from his Simulacra release last year with Necrobia & Sweetpea, Simulacra & Simulation is a concept based around altered perceptions, alternative realities and being removed from the world as we know it by technology. 

This follow up EP consists of four deadly cuts each purveying their own mystifyingly dark undercurrents and each production nodding back to nostalgic inspirations whilst still remaining future fresh. ‘Alienware’ opens up with a damaging assault of contorted snarls and cutting drums. ‘Don’t Care’ switches it up, raining down a mood evoking bass fuelled roller. Following this is the steppy inertia and intricate breaks of ‘Blank’. And rounding it all off is the timeless and unrelenting gritty sounds of ‘Cleanse’.

This 2nd part to the series is an onslaught of tense, captivating and stand-out tracks which you can really take your pick of. A solid collection and addition to anyone’s playlist that continues to deliver the message, urging you to take off the filter, put down the phone and just listen to the raw original music.

VC / BARB (collectively – Ram Records, Renegade Hardware, MethLab, Trendkill, C4C, Viper, Hospital, Lifestyle, EKOU – and more) and Block Dodger (Metafiziq, Trust, Close2Death and Neurofunk Grid) have built something epic here for Dissected Culture. Floaty vocals draw you through the dramatic intro until the complex drums and LFOs scissor kick you in the face when they land. Not comprised of your usual 16 bar cycles ‘IN VAIN’ takes a few routes throughout its run time. Double time kicks make way for some rapid fire bass drops and ear stabbing keys, combined with small break downs across the track and stitched together by the haunting vocals, this track throws a lot at you and keeps you guessing throughout. 
The track gathers extra momentum after the breakdown and launches into a frantic finish that will no doubt destroy the dance in short order.

M.I.B. Crew, a new brand in a story from which MUSIC and the elements of DJ'ing will emerge. 

Established in 2005, in Galati, M.I.B. began its career in Graffiti, hardly resisting among haters and painting city walls. Receiving fines over fines or being chased by police and special forces, the crew slowly shrank, frequently changing and losing members, eventually reaching only 2, namely MKE (Jahh Roland) and TRT (Oldskull Fanatiks). By the way, the adrenaline changes shape and the location it’s administered at. 
Turntables, consoles, mixers, power stations or speakers that shake your lungs; MIB kick off 2012 in a new era of electronic music (of course, not giving up the world of Montana Hardcore, graffiti remaining the active basis with which we started to be more than friends).
