Tiger Stripes appears on Radio Slave’s Rekids for the second time, following up his ‘I Heard It Through The Bassline’ EP with the ‘All Night Long’ EP this February. Kickstarting this year’s releases, he collaborates with Brazilian titan Vintage Culture, a DJ Mag Top 10 artist for the past two years thanks to his distinct and almighty tech sound that has pounded stages from Tomorrowland to Coachella; also no stranger to the Defected catalogue, his modern house hit ‘Nightjar’ with Sonny Fodera featuring SHELLS received global play. French hitmakers Oden & Fatzo return to Defected alongside frequent collaborator THEOS with ‘Only You’ featuring Noa Milee. 2024 marked an incredible year for Oden & Fatzo, who soared to new heights with the release of summer smash ‘Tell Me What You Want’ with Poppy Baskcomb. The now Defected staple earned over a thousand spins across UK radio alone, culminating in a live PA with Poppy at Defected’s Ushuaïa Ibiza residency. The release followed the major success of their previous Defected single ‘The One’ in 2023, which conquered radio stations and received extensive club play across the UK thanks to its infectious hook and haunting vocals. Described by Hannah as ‘her favourite record to date’, she now reveals the acoustic version of ‘Hold Me’, where the lyrics continue to create cathartic release for the DJ in this reimagining of the club track.

Glaswegian tastemaker Arielle Free returns to Defected Records alongside multi-faceted Might Delete Later to deliver ‘Shy’. An accomplished DJ, producer and BBC broadcaster with a distinct house sonic, Arielle’s previous Defected release ‘Feels So Good’ was a 2023 standout, earning support from fellow BBC tastemakers Danny Howard and Jeremiah Asiamah. Her infectious sound has been heard widely across the UK and further afield, including sets at Defected’s biggest parties in 2024 – from their flagship festivals in Croatia and Malta to their open-air Ushuaïa Ibiza residency. For her latest club-ready release, Arielle is joined by Might Delete Later, a festival favourite and producer turning voicemails into music who has opened for Elderbrook, Moderat and Joy Anonymous and collaborated with Patrick Topping. Lyrically, ‘Shy’ is inspired by real confessions of insecurity and self-acceptance from an anonymous voicemail, per Might Delete Later’s unique process. Marking a fresh sonic approach for Arielle Free on Defected, the record utilises live instruments to support an uplifiting topline, creating a pepped-up dose of house that is sure to light up dancefloors and the airwaves alike.
