When the world felt like time stood still, the desire to create something new was all Buffalo rockers, Matthew Ruhl, Kevin Flynn and Anthony Maira could think of. With their roots in metal and progressive rock, Ruhl and Flynn sought to find their new sound as they were picking up after their previous band had ended. On a whim, Ruhl invited Maira to come jam - what came of the following sessions were a mix of 2000/2010 sounds of emo/alternative rock in the vein of Sliverstein, Thrice and Thursday with upbeat and catchy guitar riffs paired with driving and rhythmic drums. Ruhl’s melodic and technical bass playing brings a special characteristic not typical to the genre. Soaring vocals and powerful lyrics compliment the energetic music. After a two year hiatus, Before Manhattan has reignited the band with full force.

If there's a word to describe Quin's style, it would be "quirky." A budding singer/songwriter currently residing in Cleveland, OH, he combines vulnerable, poetic imagery with infectious, quirky alt-pop melodies to create a sound that is unique to him. Inspired by the likes of David Bowie, Maggie Rogers, Lady Gaga, and George Ezra, he is fervently writing as much and as often as he can and hopes to release a fully-produced EP soon!
