Mich Gerber is a solo acoustic double bass player with a very distinct way of playing his instrument: by plucking, bowing and using the instruments body as a percussive tool. He forms, with his live loops, a solo acoustic 'bass orchestra' and creates layers of music, weaving the whole into a rich rhythmic and melodic soundscape. Even though his work has contemporary feel, he explores ancient and world music to achieve his unique sound.
