"I made a mix that showcases some of my favourite tracks which go across all the decades I've been listening to dance music. Including one of the first house tracks I ever heard - that inspired me to make music ('Love & Happiness') - through to the genre that inspired me the most - UK garage, and then some early dubstep and footwork — with a couple of unreleased tracks of my own thrown in too."

After consuming the primeval energies of an entire planetoid, the gargantuan interstellar being had wandered the stars for a time. At its core churned the life forces of one trillion beings, subsumed and intertwined by the nature of its interdimensional existence. The singularity of consciousness that lay at its core was thus one of cacophony & discord, as those of strongest will that still clung to some faint inkling of individuality sought to exert their influence over all others, pushing upwards amidst the maddening din of psychic energy and drowning those beneath them in turn.

In willful ignorance of the chaos that churned within it, the great being had come to rest in the orbit of a distant star, beginning a hibernation that would last for eons as the life that raged within began to slowly seep to the surface. Thus came new life upon the surface of the beings slumbering body, born from the original images of all that which the behemoth had consumed and wrought into entirely new forms by the crucible at its core. In an age to come, the being would wake again, consuming the distant ancestors of the life that it had now born into existence. For the current age, its duty had been fulfilled - the cycle of DIVERGENCE had been carried out once more.

EATBRAIN unveils DIVERGENCE VI, the latest entry in the label’s compilation series which celebrates the diverse and devastating breadth of their artist’s sound. Reflected across overlapping dimensions born of divergent causal chains, the single thread of an age-old story spun its wondrous tale time and time again, each new weaving of its tapestry of tales garbed in novel forms but resounding with a similar refrain. In a land dominated by the sea, two haggard sailors set sail in search of the knowledge that lay beyond the horizon. In a land of heroes and legends, two knights quested for that which would rid their kingdom of a sorcerer’s malevolent curse. In the lands of a far distant future, a novel pharmaceutical allowed its patients to delve into the knowledge of their ancestors, watching the events of their lives as a silent observer to the collective memory that all held within. In the primal lands that lay under the cold embrace of a black sun, three wolves set out for new hunting grounds across the frigid north.

In each & every dimension, these linked souls each sought the treasure of knowledge lost, held in stasis by its isolation and eagerly awaiting its rediscovery. The mystical draw of such knowledge was constant, its tendrils of influence stretching beyond planar boundaries as it spurred those who heard its call to new feats of heroism. Thus it was in each of these dimensions, and thus it was in a final land, one in which two cowboys rode into the depths of the wilderness and in which saloons would soon sing the ballad of Scrugss & Sonny Jim.
