I had not only the honor of playing at HÖR Berlin for the second time, but also the chance to wear an Ally Hamburg shirt for the occasion and contribute to the campaign.

Ally Hamburg and Abtreibung Entkriminalisieren – initiatives for something that should be self-evident: the right to access abortion without legal barriers. But in Germany, it’s still a crime. §218 StGB makes it punishable by law, unless you qualify under certain exceptions. Even then, the system is built on hurdles: mandatory counseling, waiting periods, restricted access, high costs, and the fact that so few doctors even provide the procedure. The result? Stigmatization, financial burdens, worsening medical care, and, ultimately, a restriction on bodily autonomy.

A reform could have changed that. But it failed. Blocked by FDP and CDU/CSU. Not because of democratic debate, but because they actively prevented it from even reaching a vote.

Elections are coming up. If you care about fundamental rights, vote for those who actually stand for them.

The Phonica series drifts Amsterdam way for the next addition in its series with not one but two of the cities most prominent artists. Kamma & Masalo supply separately in their sets nothing but magical moments so when you have the chance to see them play together it is that times two and some. Never knowing what the direction and vibe their set will go - having roots in eclectic and disco vibes as well clubbier house, techno and acid sounds (a vibe they cement firmly at their Brighter Days party in Amsterdam) - they have firmly placed themselves on top shelf list of some of Europes finest selectors.  Appearing regularly at festivals like Dekmantel and Japan's Rainbow Disco Club to name a few, the duo have played some of the best clubs around the world. For Phonica 131 Kamma and Masalo have the dancefloor in mind with a mix focused on their beginnings in the underground club scene of their upbringing. We had a quick chat with them about the mix and what they have coming up!

Being embedded in the GTA underground community, Geneva has spent the past few years playing parties and clubs where music & culture come first. With southern Ontario's close proximity to Detroit, the birthplace of techno, her invigorating sets draw inspiration from early techno, electro, and Detroit club music. Geneva consistently demonstrates her passion for electronic music and culture. She co-owns TREMA AUDIO, a Hamilton based techno/electro record label andparty series. As well, she hosts her own techno and techno-adjacent nights in Hamilton & Toronto; showing local talent and fostering the budding scenes. Geneva also is involved in the community advocating for less harmful party practices, educating ravers, and fostering a safer dance floor space.
