Tomi Kokki captures the gritty, no-nonsense energy of a raw trance with ‘Lost In Time’ EP on Bøne.FM

Tomi Kokki, a producer and a DJ hailing from Helsinki, Finland. His productions, as well as his DJ sets, explore genres ranging between Trance, Breakbeat, Rave and Progressive-House, while blending the classic dance music soundscapes with modern. Lost In Time is a 4-track descent into raw euphoria and hard-edged emotional control. Avoiding trance clichés, this record leans into repetition, tension, and pressure over easy payoffs. It's trance for the emotionally exhausted — functional, unromantic, and weaponized.

The creation of the EP "Lost in Time" was heavily inspired by the beginning of the Finnish summer. But it was also thematically inspired by the current state of the world, leading it being a mix of the opposites: hope and worry, happiness and sadness.

While the intro and outro ring a bell of familiarity with their pulsing arpeggio, Joe Garret a.k.a. Temple One takes the track into altogether new territory with his 138bpm uplifting revision, the spoken word sample is there sure enough; “He is in his own blood”, but the major key riff and chord progression lift Lazy World to new heights.
