The ‘Demigod EP’, produced by NovaKane, is the first full EP to be presented on the label Seizure Ltd.  It stands to reason that 2015 is seen as no joke to the new up and coming D’n’B label, as it also the first set of tracks to be released on vinyl format as well as digital. 

‘Demigod’ provides a sensuously, Sci-Fi-esque intro.  Inspired by the movie ‘Tron’, the precursor to the main body of the track contains electronic arpeggiators, digital violins and rumbling drones.  The lengthy intro seems worthwhile once the devastating drop is revealed.       

The destructive force created by this partly human, partly god like, deified mortal, is represented throughout the remainder of the EP with aggressive synth work, and sufficiently sinister soundscapes.  The final track ‘More Than Human’ leaves as a swan song to this malevolent, offspring of a god.

Review by Jake Malbasa - FourFourDigital.com Elevation Audio have really laid their agenda out in 2013; uncompromising, unmistakable trance. Dan Dobson's Dark Passenger clearly follows the pattern set by his label mates, as his first offering for Elevation is as the title promised: dark. Hauntingly building throughout, the track kicks into a driving bassline rather than the all-to-over-used heavy drop, keeping this offering true it's style. This isn't main stage, stadium trance. This is underground warehouse trance. Just how it should be

I decided to break out FL studio again. I went for a more groovy headnod sort of feel with this one, but with some added twists and turns in the rhythm. As the title suggests, many things are not equal in terms of phrase length, and you get somewhat lost.
