What is a woman? That's the question of the year, it seems, and we're all aghast. The thing is, almost nobody understands what that particularly nasty bit of confusion is about. Luckily, the most high-profile case of the problem, which occurred in the Supreme Court confirmation hearing for Kentanji Brown Jackson, gave us the answer. She said she didn't know what a woman is (while being a woman) because she's not a biologist. In other words, to know what a woman is, you have to ask a qualified expert. It doesn't matter what the definition is because the whole thing is a power grab making use of Queer Theory (better called Queer Marxism) to steal power from deliberately constructed confusion. I don't desire a future for humanity like the ones imagined by our culturally designated future-imaginers. I don't want humans living in Elon Musk Mars colonies or Jeff Bezos space cylinders. I don't want us to fly out into the stars, to disappear into virtual reality universes, or to move away from our humanness by becoming cybernetic organisms.

Not yet anyway. Not for a long time. Not until we've done what we need to do here first.

Militants carried out a bomb and weapons attack on a mosque in Egypt's North Sinai province, killing 235 people, state media said.

The al-Rawda mosque in the town of Bir al-Abed was targeted during Friday prayers.

It is the deadliest attack of its kind since the Islamist insurgency in the peninsula was staged in 2013.

Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi promised to respond with "brutal force" after talks with security officials.

No group has yet claimed the attack, but militants affiliated with Islamic State (IS) are responsible for dozens of deadly attacks in the province.

According to witnesses, dozens of gunmen arrived in all-terrain vehicles and bombed the packed mosque before opening fire on worshippers trying to flee.

The attackers reportedly set fire to parked vehicles in the area to block access to the mosque.

"They shot at people as they were leaving the mosque," a local resident who had family there told Reuters news agency. "They also shot at the ambulances."
