John Michael Greer is an American author, independent scholar, historian of ideas, cultural critic, Neo-druid leader, Hermeticist, environmentalist/conservationist, blogger, novelist, and occultist/esotericist who currently resides in Cumberland, Maryland. The author, to date, of twenty-seven nonfiction books and one science fiction novel, he also writes the Archdruid Report, a weekly blog on peak oil and the future of industrial society, and serves as the presiding officer of a contemporary Druid order, the Ancient Order of Druids in America.
