J Ross Parrelli is what it would sound like if Joss Stone had been raised in the same duplex as Notorious B.I.G. Recently signed to Universal Records, J Ross Parrelli’s repertoire includes rap battles and festival stages from the Bronx to the Bay. Sultry songstress turned community cultivator, Parrelli has spoken and performed at youth leadership conferences all over the globe. Her interest in education reform led her to co-found Beats, Lyrics, Leaders through which she is developing Hip Hop based curriculum now being piloted in schools, foster youth programs, and native reservations.

ANDREW “BASSIE” CAMPBELL 
Biography & Discography
Born in Kingston 13, Jamaica, Andrew “Bassie” Campbell is a Bass player, producer, and head of the Andrew Bassie Records Label with over 26 years of experience as a professional musician worldwide.  A writer from United Reggae wrote that Andrew is a “True Riddim sorcerer, a smiling buddha of bass enlightenment”. His mission is educating & inspiring the people with conscious lyrics set to an uplifting beat. He calls his unique style of riddims “Raw Roots”. 
Music is in his blood- he started out dancing to the beat of his father’s Nyabinghi drums at the Bobo camp. At the age of 15, Andrew was given his first instrument, a box guitar by a friend of his father. His father, Daniel, a prominent Roots Wine maker, had little time for playing, so Andrew, being a natural music lover took to playing. 
The music of Studio One, Sir Coxone Dodd,Black Uhuru, Bob Marley, & Burning Spear were his earliest influences. Through his childhood friend Yami Bolo, Andrew was introduced to Jolly Stewart, a local musician who taught him to play the guitar. Andrew took his lessons quite seriously. To this day he remains grateful to all of his inspirational musical mentors, as well as almighy JAH.
In 1987 he began playing professionally. Andrew continued doing studio sessions, and has played bass on many Jamaican hit songs. He’s played bass for reggae’s top stars including: Luciano, Capleton, Jr. Reid, Yami Bolo, Anthony B., Tony Rebel, Queen Ifrica, Jah Mason, Niyorah, The Itals, The Gladiators, & more. 
Through a link with bassist Chris Meredith, he began playing bass for Jammy’s with Anthony Thomas on drums. While playing for Bobby Digital on a Shabba Ranks tune, Jr. Reid, who had just left Black Uhuru heard his playing & loved his vibes. Andrew was invited to join a new band Jr. Reid was putting together- The One Blood Band. Andrew toured with the One Blood Band to Canada, Antigua, Montserrat, & all around Jamaica. 
After One Blood Band, he played with his bredren Yami Bolo’s band- The Positive Vibe Band, touring Japan & many other countries. He also toured with the Gladiators & the Itals all around the world. 
After much encouragement from friends, he tried his hand at producing. His original idea was to do an instrumental album, and in 2002 came up with “Mr. Bassman Productions”. He produced Niyorah’s “Feel Your Presence” (2010) & Midnite’s “Kings Bell” (2011) along with many other riddims & production work.
Today he is busy running his record label: Andrew Bassie Records, producing artists from Jamaica, Virgin Islands, & the states, and is continually composing new riddims, and recording. 
Look out for several new forthcoming RAW ROOTS releases on the Andrew Bassie Records label in 2014; notably “Mr. Bassman Allstars #3”, Biblical’s “Hold Firm Natty”, a much anticipated Steve Tolluch album ,a project with Exodus & Ras Batch, & many more.
