The Black Cross is a gothic metal band conjuring soundscapes steeped in darkness, mysticism, and cinematic intensity. Formed as a ritualistic union of heavy riffs, haunting melodies, and baroque aesthetics, the band blends elements of hard rock, doom, punk, and darkwave into a force both brutal and beautiful.

Led by frontman Michael on vocals and guitar, the five-member coven includes the enigmatic Lilith (synth & vocals), the shadowy axe-wielder Cain (rhythm guitar), brooding low-end guardian Malach (bass), and the fierce and relentless Abaddon (drums). Each member represents a different facet of the band’s occult-inspired persona.

Their debut album The Chapel of Shadows introduced a new liturgy of sonic storytelling — songs like Velvet Crucifix, The Seraphim Lie, and Darkness Is My Friend explore themes of sin, salvation, and the sacred in decay.
