Losing his father in a tragic car accident at the age of 8, his home in a house fire, and being diagnosed with epilepsy as a child Samuel Arthur Pierce has faced many obstacles and challenges in his life that gave him many reasons to give up. That is why he brings the message in his music encouraging people to persist in the midst of adversity. The artist formerly known as Sam P., was raised in his hometown of Middlesex North Carolina in the midst of drug dealers and street fights, where he embraced the mentality of his external environment to be accepted by his peers. Starting in the 3rd grade he began getting into fights at school and being suspended consistently.  This rage he kept hidden lead him to start writing songs at 10 years old. He was inspired by the lyricism of artists such as Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang Clan, Big Pun, and Big L. Sam's mother and father influenced his choice in finding Jesus and in 2005, he started pursuing his own relationship with him. 10 years later, he committed to use his God given talent of rap to inspire, bring hope, and spread truth through hip hop music. His musical influences now are Bizzle, S.O., Lecrae, KB, Andy Mineo, Jered Sanders, and Trip Lee. He is the founder of the independent label and music production company “Renew Your Mind Music” in Greensboro North Carolina.
