Sweetly done. Love the way you incorporate electronic sounds into a poppy context. Almost like house R&B. Brilliant addition of those guitar and sax and vox and synth pad elements. You're doing nice things here.

My second collaboration with the fantastic Eclectic Collective. Thank you for this awesome experience, Josh, Ken, Stephen, JJ, and Tez!

This song started as a basic, yet melodically very strong composition by Terry involving him playing a synthesizer over a beat he created. He first shared it with Stephen, as they are regular collaborators in their project, Texas Tea, which are worth checking out on both of their pages, as well. Stephen then turned it over the the Eclectic Collective to work our magic on it.
  Josh was first up to the plate with this one, adding his deep, five string fretless bass to Terry's rudimentary beat. Ken was next up, however, adding the driving drum beat you hear, for which he used Terry's beat as a template and augmented a full kit sound to it. Stephen followed Ken, adding his striking wah guitar part to the whole thing. Tez was up soon after with his searing guitar soloing towards the end. Last, but certainly not least, JJ added the soulful electric piano you hear giving it a funk throughout, as well as the tambourine and the cool triange dings. 
  Now that it was in the bag, we decided to ask Stephen to produce and mix it for us, which he did in his typical expert fashion, as well as the doing the mastering, too.
  This is our holiday offering to all our fans, friends, colleagues, and peers. While it's not particularly a holiday song, it's a good display of where we are musically, and shows some of the flavor we want to add in the new year. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it. Happy holidays to you, and many happy returns!

Keeping with the Valentine's Day theme of love, here's an oldie but goldie I wrote this back in 1998, can you believe it, It's another song about my dream girl that I wouldn't meet for many year afterwards. I was divorced for about 2 years and pretty much feeling abandoned and lonely. I remember wanting to write a song in the same vein as "And I Love Her" by The Beatles. A very acoustic number with an accordion playing in the background, you know, very romantic like something you might hear in a Paris cafe! This was one of the first songs I did with Charlie, it wasn't recorded too well since I had an old Tascam 8-track analog recorder and it's distorted quite a bit but I think the melody and lyrics still hold up. (Mastering didn't help this song at all, sorry!) I don't know, let me know what you think in the comments. I've always liked the first line about wrapping myself inside her smile. I produced the video a few months ago for this Valentine's Day. I enjoyed putting it together and added like 10 quick snap shots of beautiful women taking selfies at the end of the video. Another acoustic song taken on by Mighty Mike Fox for This Sound Society project.
Can’t thank him enough for his efforts,  skills & enthusiasm for the ideas. A double busy top bloke.
This song is about a personal experience a long time ago that still to this day can hurt when mentioned.
Then 20 years after the dust as settled the opportunity arises out of the blue to cut to the chase and talk truth & transparency about the situation.
Always two sides to a story and their version strangely favours the brave but they take no responsible for their actions and the feelings of others after they shit on you from a great height after you have been always helpful & decent to them. 
You may still love these people and forgive them but you never forget.
So it’s about people who are close to you wether it’s family or friends. 
We have probably all been there and feel betrayed but because of who they are you rise above to be a better person. 
They don’t change with time just turn inside out.
They will still be out for number one and would sell their Granny for personal gain .
To be deceitful, lie and play you like a fiddle leaving you in the dark.
This Sound Society gives you the second track of 2025.
