Andante Grave was composed in 2003 as one of five pieces for cello ensemble. The suite of works was premiered on October 26th 2003 at the Caloundra, Queensland Uniting Church in Anne Bowyer's annual "Choir of Cellos" concert. Anne commissioned these works and conducted the various ensembles. In this live recording, the guest soloist was the marvellous cellist, artistic director and teacher, Louise King of Cello Dreaming. My gratitude to both of these artists for their efforts in performing new music for cello.
