Till Schalltrip is a berlin-based house DJ who lives in Kreuzberg, the artistic and music paradise of germany's capital. He was born in 1985 in Steglitz in the western part of the city and grew up in the 90s listening to all kinds of rap, german hip hop and trashy electro pop. 
The turn of events in musical preference only happened a few years back when he started discovering the Berlin electronic underground scene and fell in love with it. Around the same time, he met his now good friend and former roommate Angel Funke who is a successful music producer from Girona, Spain and who taught him the art of DJing.
 
Inspired by the Berlin sound of clubs such as Sisyphos, Wilde Renate and Kater Holzig, Schalltrip started to develop his own style of modern Chicago house music mixed with some deeper UK House and the occasional pinch of hard bouncing techy tunes. He has played in Berlin Clubs such as Sisyphos, Weekend, Rummelsbucht, Griessmühle, Yaam and Fiesere Miese, bars such as the Prince Charles related Parker Bowles and Base Ment and art galleries such as Studio Chérie. He also had guest appearances in the Netherlands in Utrecht and Delft and in Brasil in the famous (because only) Club Ipaum Guacu on Ilha Grande.

His specific underground housy style sets him apart from the typical minmal and deep house monotony and he keeps surprising his audience with long, nicely timed transitions controlling the energy of the venue all focused on the goal of leading the crowd on a trip through the sound which is the literal translation of the german word “Schalltrip”.
