John participated in the Naviar Haiku challenge for over 4 years, almost every week, and shared both his music and poetry with us. He'll be deeply missed. "John Hinks, aka FlownBlue, was a prolific and talented composer, and a regular participant in the Haiku challenge. Aside from his solo project, John was also involved in multiple projects: ‘Windfall Light‘ (with Jim Tetlow), ‘Abstract Blue‘ (with Kevin Buckland), ‘Light Fragments‘ (with Steve Escott), Szukanie (with Michał Wojciechowski), and Meadowlight (with Emma Reed)."

First track of a new album where I'll try to be more eclectic, with closer approach to some genres. Experimented on this one over-editing vocal line on the left, and getting midi files out of organic guitar melodies, which I could play with virtual instruments. I hope you'll enjoy a different Ruizzoid shape.

Dedicated to Germán Coppini’s ‘Golpes Bajos’, one of my favorite groups of the Spanish ‘Nueva Ola’.

Killing time

I started playing drums at 9 years of age and played professionally most of my life.  Over the years I added additional instruments to my skills as you will see in the songs I have posted here.  I do all of the vocals and play all of the instruments and do my own recording and mixing.  Many of the songs I've posted are my orignals.  I hope you enjoy them.  Peace and love.  Mike
