you're the sunshine in my morning.
the reason i'm falling asleep.
and if i wasn't hurting, you'd be the only person i see.
i hear other things people don't hear.
because they have sound.
and i have eyes.

i wish people would look at me the way they look at you,
i wish people would talk to me the way they talk to you

but i only have eyes, and ears
i'm a vessel not wanting to be hear.
i have lungs and veins.
there's only a few people in this world that make me feel sane.
i only have skin and teeth.
words slip through cracks like lying in sheets.

i got wounds that haven't healed. 
i'm so fucked up i have nowhere to go.
i've got scars in my brain

i wish people would look at me the way they look at you,
i wish people would talk to me the way they talk to you

all i've got are my body parts to hold me together.
inside it's hard to see things clear,
when you never get better.

i've only got...
eyes
lungs and veins
teeth.
