Amurai is a rising Trance artist already described as a pioneer in the contemporary electronic music scene. His distinct style of sound originates not only from his unique ability as a Music Producer, DJ and composer but also from his talent as a songwriter and vocalist.
 
In 2011, Amurai contributed as a producer and songwriter in developing ATB's 8th studio artist album entitled "Distant Earth." The album peaked at #7 in the German Billboard Charts and later reached Platinum status in sales. Later that year, Amurai was invited by ATB to participate in "ATB In Concert", hosted in Poznan, Poland, to play live piano and close out the concert with a DJ set.
 
Ferry Corsten, a famed Dutch label owner and DJ, spotted Amurai and featured him in two of his highly regarded “Once Upon A Night” compilations. Amurai was the only artist to have two songs featured on each of the two compilation series.
 
Throughout his career, the young music producer managed to secure releases on some of Europe’s most highly respectable electronic dance music labels such as Armada Recordings and Black Hole Recordings. Amurai, who often finds inspiration from his Armenian roots, has garnered immense support from high ranking DJs including Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, ATB, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery, and Dash Berlin among others.
 
In the first quarter of 2009, Amurai started his DJ career by launching his own internationally broadcasted electronic radio show called ‘Amurai Global’. The show aired on over 10 online and FM radio stations and was also available as a podcast. One year later, Amurai joined the LMD Group in Los Angeles and claimed residency on Saturdays at Club Circus. His residency enabled him to DJ alongside artists such as Cosmic Gate, tyDi, Solarstone, Tritonal, Simon Patterson and Solarstone while representing the Trance music scene in Los Angeles.
 
The future holds great surprises for this young artist. Having taken a break from the music scene between 2013 and 2015, Amurai is sure to revisit the scene with a handful of unique releases.

Regarded upon his 2006 arrival as a promising beatmaker looming in the shadows of J Dilla, Madlib, waterfalls and Dabrye, Steven Ellison -- known as Flying Lotus -- nullified all comparisons only two years later with Los Angeles. On that album, his first of five for the Warp label, Ellison distilled a uniquely crisp, spasmodic, and heady sound with elements of hip-hop, avant-garde jazz, IDM, and dubstep. While the abovementioned producers fueled Ellison, he had also been excited as a youngster by the '90s West Coast rap classics that combined programming and live instrumentation. His sound continued to develop as he put his own twist on the approach, recording with a crop of jazz musicians including the indispensable likes of bassist Thundercat and strings master Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. This process began with the turbulent 2010 set Cosmogramma and peaked in terms of acclaim in 2014 with You're Dead!, which crashed the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and spawned the Kendrick Lamar collaboration "Never Catch Me," a Grammy nominee for Best Dance Recording. Ellison devoted a few years to various forms of film work and the operation of his revered Brainfeeder label, and returned in 2019 with Flamagra, his second consecutive album to top Billboard's Dance/Electronic chart.
