Part 2 of my Saint Mark Passion - the composition was done a few years ago, the virtual performance over the last 5-6 months - the vp was very time consuming, as I struggled to get a natural, beautiful enunciation from the East/West Hollywood Choirs - not always with full success, but about the best i can do for now. I'll return now to part 1 of this work, the orchestral part of which was posted here last fall, and add the choirs - hopefully the process will get easier with time and practice!

Saint Mark Passion Part 2 - Jesus before the Sanhedrin/Peter's denial

A much more complete version of this work - the orchestral part was posted last fall - now the choirs have been added and the solo parts are represented by instruments. The part of Jesus is extensive in this part of the passion - his voice is for the most part represented by the oboe except for a few sections where the orchestration is very full and the playing very loud - in these sections the trumpet is used. The other vocal solo parts are both very short - Peter is represented by a solo cello and Judas by a flute.

A piece for stringquartet. The SWAM violins are amazing in expression combined with the TEC BBC2 breathcontroller. Four parameters can be expressed at the same time with your head!
Expression, bow pressure, bow position and vibrato, by breath pressure, tilt, nod and bite!

Made with the UNA CORDA and SWAM violin.
The Una Corda sound is more mystifying then the piano I think.
This is a beautiful piece of music in its simplicity.
