Be The Ceremony  🟣 LaniAkea Tribal Gathering Set by Yonder

Under the bright sun at the legendary Scorpios beach club in Mykonos, I set the stage for a performance that I hoped would touch the depths of the soul. My Live Set was a combination of carefully crafted Live Looping and the performance of my own songs and sonic productions. The live looping left plenty of room for improvisation, allowing me to play and channel the energy of the present moment and whatever wanted to emerge. My music, a blend of organic folktronica and downtempo, aims to capture the essence of my southamerican roots and distant lands, ancient times.

This was a daytime set, during a tranquil time when people at the beach club were relaxing. The music I created was intended to accompany the afternoon, providing a moment of calm and tranquility.

I started my set with the gentle sounds of electric guitar strings, harmonizing with the murmur of the Aegean Sea just a few meters away. Each note intertwined like waves, carrying fragments of history. Using live looping, I created layers of sound that rose and fell, like a hypnotic dance under the sun.

The flutes added a mystical touch, their melodies floating in the daytime breeze. The synthesizer, with its deep echoes and reverberations, built a soundscape that transported listeners to a dreamlike realm.

My voice, soft and melodic, aimed to guide listeners toward a sanctuary of peace and reflection. Each original song I performed was a story, celebrating life and the mystery that surrounds it.

Ethnic elements wove through my music, reminding us of our shared roots and the beauty of cultural diversity. The slow, rhythmic cadence of downtempo folktronica invited introspection and an inner journey, while people gently swayed to the beat.

At Scorpios, I wanted to create a transformative experience, a moment of connection and transcendence. The healing energies of the sun and the sea blended with the music, enveloping everyone in a sense of unity and renewal. My live set was not just a performance; it was a celebration of the natural elements, a reminder of the profound connection between music, nature, and the human spirit.
