World premiere for my 1st song "In My Place". Here on Soundcloud. The song is dedicated to my family, my friends, colleagues and everybody who is interested in my style of funky dance music. 
The song is written by my own and not covered from any artist. All handmade. Recorded, mixed and mastered with DAW Cubase 10.5. Additional contents by Native Instruments Komplete 12. Plugins eg like LFOTool, LittleAlterBoy. Additional samples and sound effects from Loopcloud. Midikeys with NI Komplete Control MK2. Audio interface as Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 MK2 using Yamaha HS8 active studio monitors for pre-production. Final hardcore tests on active 700W LD Systems Dave 15 G3 :D.

DJ Michael van der Knoop, a native of Amsterdam, discovered his passion for music at a young age. In 1983, he received his first pair of Technics turntables and a Dateq mixer, marking the beginning of his journey in the world of DJing. Throughout the 80s and early 90s, he became a familiar presence at local parties, renowned venues in Amsterdam, and even ventured overseas.

After a hiatus of 12 years, a close friend persuaded Michael to return to the DJ scene for a momentous occasion - his 40th birthday celebration. Unable to resist the call, Michael embraced the opportunity. However, he recognized the need to adapt to the advancements in DJ technology and familiarize himself with modern equipment. Determined to deliver an unforgettable performance, he dedicated himself to mastering the art of mixing once again. To this day, he remains confident that rekindling his passion was the right decision.
